| Old School Char Kway Teow
My doctor has advised that I stay away from fried kway teow, but when I was told that this guy has been frying away even before Singapore became independent, I had to have a plate even though I had already had my lunch.
The "wok hay" is really good and I can see why so many flock here to eat his fried noodles. Also I liked the fact that it is not too oily. Mr. Ng is also a very sociable guy, and if you catch him at his off hours he will tell you his life story.
You can catch this guy cooking at the Big Eat Out on 22 November at the Peranakan Museum. Not to be missed! |
