Reasonable Food with Ridiculous Drink Prices

Quite surprise this place is not rated given that it has opened for at least 2 years.

Starting from Nov to March, this is the best time to dine at this place as it is windy/breezy in the evening. This place serves chinese and western food.

Last Saturday, we brought our puppy to this place for dinner. At the entrance, we saw the NO PETS ALLOWED sign, we were like : "oh no, have to go somewhere alreay!" Hubby approached the staff, and then we were told that we can take the tables near the beach at the smoking area.

We ordered the following :-
1. Escargot with Garlic and Cheese SGD 10.80 [ rate 3.5 out of 5 ]

No shells, just the flesh. Like the cheese and somehow to much that overwhelm the snails.

2. Stew Beef SGD 14.00 [ rate 3 out of 5 ]

Hb ordered this main. It is quite salty and the quantity is quite pathetic. Served with some greens and potatoes.

3. Sambal Fish with Butter Rice [ rate 4 out of 5 ]

Contemplating ordering their Sambal Fried Rice (SGD 8.00) cuz I love theirs. Hubby persuaded to order Sambal Fish instead. Dory fish pan-fried and "coated" with sambal chilli". Very spicy and shiok. Too spicy that I need to order a 6.50 SGD Lime Juice!!!

Value
- my sambal fish is quite reasonable though I thought the stew beef is not worth the money.
- And I hate the price of their drinks, it seems that the beer are the most reasonably price. I would never pay SGD 5.00 for a glass of coke/ice lemon tea again.

Service
- a number of non-local servers which we have to repeat our order a few times.
- They do not serve PUB water
- Pretty prompt in serving
- Accomodating

Must Tries: Sambal Fried Rice, Sambal Fish, Tom Yam Soup

I also recommend this place for

Occasion:Large Groups/Gathering, Children/Family, Boys Night Out, After Work
Atmosphere:View/Scenery, Alfresco/Outdoor Dining, Waterfront, People Watching
Others:Wheelchair Friendly, Beer Lists
