| My Experience
Was at Pasir Ris Park and wanted a place for drink and finger food. Settled down at Mid Summer Nite Breeze. The 2 of us ordered ...
1) Mushroom Soup
2) Fish Fingers
3) 1 Pot of Camomile Tea
4) 1 Glass of Warm and 1 Glass of Hot water
B4 we ordered the mushroom soup, I even checked with the waiter whether Wild Mushrooms are used for the soup. The waiter checked & told me that they use different types of mushrooms to make the soup. Hmm.. Sounds good...
When the soup came, one look and I know that the soup was a failure. It came in a soup bowl (those that r used @ Pizza Hut). It's pretty small bowl and guess what? It was only HALF filled and we can tell it's very diluted.
Nevertheless we decide to give it a try. My god. It was really watery that after a few spoons, i decided that I didn't want to waste my stomach's space.
The Fish Fingers arrived shortly. @ least the fish fingers were much nicer. Think they did put some herbs on the crumbs of the fish, that's why it tasted unique.
Soon, I finished my pot of camomile tea and asked the waiter to refill some hot water for me. He told me there would be a 30 cents charge for Hot water. As we are leaving the place soon, I thot there's no point to add hot water and so, asked for the bill!
When the bill came, I saw the Hot and Warm water which we initially ordered was also in the bill. 30 cents a cup. *faint* It's not that we are stingy people who cannot afford the 60 cents water. The maddening thing is the waiter whom we originally ordered the water did not tell us that it's chargeable for the water.
Total Bill was almost $21 and I felt it was really not value for money at all. $5.30 for the Half-filled diluted mushroon soup and $5 for the small pot of Camomile tea which cannot be refilled at all??? I felt it's not worth my $$ ........ |
