I have 2 regrets this evening. One, that I was stupid enough not to have read any reviews before going to La Forketta and secondly, having gone there.

First, drinking tap water is simply out of the question here. "Not possible", they said. Then they scalp you by charging you $9 per bottle for still water and $4.50 for a bread basket! Are times that bad that fleecing starts even before the first course?

What I take greatest umbrage to is that the staff started packing up and putting everything away at 10pm. By 10.33pm, the waitress told us to leave. Listed closing time for this place, mind you, is 11pm. We were unceremoniously booted out and all the restaurant lights were out by 10.35pm.

A horrible experience. Never again.

So ... avoid this place like the plague. The service staff have the worst attitude.
