| "Lo Hei" Lunch - what's the rave about?
Seriously, what's there to rave about except for the being a part of "lazy susan", revolving round the tower...
Menu of the day:
发财鱼生
Prosperity Yu Sheng: Tasty with fresh fish but the waitress wasn't entertaining enough in "chanting" the nice words meant for CNY
Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Seafood: This is really blend. I'm like a mini chef, performing my own culinary skills with vinegar, pepper and light soya sauce to enhance the flavour of the soup
Deep-fried Garoupa with Salt & Pepper: Nothing interesting. another blend dish but they did have those "char siew" sauce which you have to dip in.
Authentic Barbecued Peking Duck: the crepe tasted nice but the duck skin wasn't very much interesting. i LIKe the way they cook the meat with bean sprouts. iT IS meant to be wrapped in lettuce. tASTED refreshing and not heavy for the meal
Stewed Pork Ribs (served with buns): Oily and i don't like the strong vinegar smell
Boiled Live Prawns: Pretty much like what you can DIY at home since it's juz plain boiling
Braised Abalone with Sea Cucumber: tHE DISH itself doesn't look appetizing at all. With the wormy dark sea cucumber swimming in a pool of gravy. abalone wasn't 'strategically' placed and it made the dish looked cheapo
Lotus Leaf Rice with Chinese Sausages: Can't rem the taste of this because by this time, we felt so stuffed. The set meal was really heavy and we are so sicked of anything served right before us. Perhaps planning of the set menu has failed to consider the heaviness of every dish
Sea Coconut with Longan: Well something sweet to end off but this definitely seem like something you can get from the food court. Expected something better and harder to whip up.
Pretty disappointing as i expected better food with the corporate crowd and price stated. Still, the variety for this set menu is well appreciated |
