To All Ardent Supporters of Shokudo Out There…

And so I mentioned before people are naturally good.

Haiz. Thus to mollify those very incensed Readers and Devotees out there, The Establishment is therefore given a 2nd chance. So after a very delightful and satisfying lunch nearby, I decided to pop in and say Hi. Puzzlingly, the Queues (and diners) were gone during the bustling Raffles City basement lunch hour of 1 pm. Hmm…I wonder why… Nevermind his two-minute SOP speech reminding of the penalty ($100 wo) that I will bring upon myself if I were to lose The Card, I was allowed entry this time by the Supervisor/ Mr Manager? himself.

I forwarded my feedback on the most unfavorable and adverse treatment I received from his very green staff the last time I visited, and also how I was brutally stabbed snapped at. He seemed quite unacquainted with the Then Policy but apologized anyhow. I give kudos on this account.

And so I started my tour around. Thumbs up for variety here, but I can’t say the same for value. I quote an example. For the same price that was tagged to the yakitoris I would have got better bang for my buck off at Kazu. Other common Japanese fare like donburis and tempura are also a tad pricey if I were to compare around the regions of Sushi Tei and Sakae Sushi. Prices tagged to the pizzas and pastas are also not competitive to say Pasta De Waraku. The only items that looked seemingly more intriguing were the burgers which were not exactly Japanese anyway lol. Otherwise all the rest were very predictable. I can’t comment on the quality here coz I didn’t choose to dine in here. Did I mention the tables were empty too? =P

And of coz I had to check out the dessert counter. Gelato. I swoon over it. And going by the flavors, they looked suspiciously Haato, or so I’m inclined to think. Oh my! Was I glad till I saw those very blatantly glaring icicles on them, the phenomenon which happens when ice cream melts then is being freezed again. Oh total blasphemy. If that was really the case, this place is truly making a parody of the consignment given to them, comprising on the quality of Haato’s products and thus breaching responsibility on their part.

I also can’t fathom eating azuki beans out of metal tins which were so brazenly displayed at the counters. Whoops.

So of course I left, having answered my own doubts and also after cautiously handling The Card back to the staff at the checkout area. What a Perilously Worrying Journey.
