328 Katong Laksa – One of the Twin Titans

For the full review and photos please visit http://thehungrygeek.com/2016/01/27/328-katong-laksa-twin-titans/

As you can imagine, this is one of the best two laksas in Singapore. Honestly it is not even close. The key to making this delicious laksa is in the gravy’s coconut milk balance, and the folks over at 328 Katong Laksa have got it down to perfection. This concoction is so good and difficult to make that even Gordan Ramsay was not able to match it. On your first mouthful the laksa fragrance is overwhelming and delicious. The noodles are al dente and the ingredients are fresh, the taste is just perfect.

That said, if you have a choice, head down to their main branch at 216 East Coast Rd instead, it is less crowded and the laksa taste slightly better over there!

Laksa you won't want to miss

With so many awards and pictures, it's hard to miss this stall and more certainly, the laksa you will not want to miss.
I am not a fan of cockles so i ordered the version without them. The thick and flavorful gravy together with the right texture beehoon and prawns that are cooked just right, this dish is well worthy of being a national icon.
Chilli is a bit on the sour side though not very spicy and add it only if you need your daily dose of spice. The laksa leaves gives the laksa an added depth so add them if you prefer a more intense flavour.
Overall, the best Katong laksa and definitely one of the better, if not the best, in Singapore.
if you're a Singaporean or you ever come to singapore, be sure not to miss it.

Affordable and good laksa

I used to visit this place a lot back when I was studying near Katong and I have always preferred this store over the other 'Katong Laksa' which is across the road. Over the years, it is good to see that it has retained its standard.

As the name suggests, this store is famous for its laksa. The laksa itself is relatively simple but the star of the dish is the gravy. It is fragrant, thick, and yet not overpowering. I can easily finish an entire bowl of laksa even without any toppings as the gravy itself can carry the dish.

As laksa is relatively cheap and affordable, I would certainly recommend anyone who has not have the chance to taste this style of laksa to try it!

Best Laksa in town

The gravy was rich in flavour, not too spicy. Prawns and cockles were really fresh. Noodles were nicely cut up so I had no problems eating with a spoon. Although the location is not really convenient, I can say this is the best laksa you'll find in town!

Kudos to this Laksa

Although I'm not a very big fan of Laksa, I have to say, this is the only kind of Laksa that caters to my tastebuds. With its relatively cheap food as well as a warm hearty ambience which I personally could feel when eating there, I most definitely would reccomend this place to those who need to satisfy their craving for foods of the rich and spicy kind.
