328 Katong Laksa – One of the Twin Titans

For the full review and photos please visit http://thehungrygeek.com/2016/01/27/328-katong-laksa-twin-titans/

As you can imagine, this is one of the best two laksas in Singapore. Honestly it is not even close. The key to making this delicious laksa is in the gravy’s coconut milk balance, and the folks over at 328 Katong Laksa have got it down to perfection. This concoction is so good and difficult to make that even Gordan Ramsay was not able to match it. On your first mouthful the laksa fragrance is overwhelming and delicious. The noodles are al dente and the ingredients are fresh, the taste is just perfect.

That said, if you have a choice, head down to their main branch at 216 East Coast Rd instead, it is less crowded and the laksa taste slightly better over there!

In For An Awesome Surprise

After trying countless stalls selling Laksa all over Singapore, this has got to be one of my most favourite one!
First off, the queue was bearable, though weekends it can get really crowded. However, the staff was able to facilitate it well, which was a big plus point for their service as most roadside stalls won't even be bothered.

Upon trying their Laksa, the aroma captivated me. The taste of the soup first was so tantalising. There was just something about the soup that separates it from other Laksa stalls.

Next came the noodles. The texture of it was rather smooth, although sometimes it could get really long and makes eating a little troublesome. But nonetheless, when soaked in such a flavourful Laksa soup, eating it was such a delight.

It is definitely worth the money for the superior quality you get from having this local delight.

Unique taste, unique skills...

Laksa has to have the right spiciness and the right aroma of curry leaves. Too spicy or too bland would be a total disaster.

Tasty laksa for Singaporean and tourist taste bud

The laksa is definitely authentic with spice level suited for the general Singaporean and Tourist taste bud. However, i find the soup a little on the bland side though tasty enough. Would have prefer thicker broth and softer thick bee hoon.

Great local food

As an "Ang Moh" leaving in this contry for few years, I'm always attracted by discovering and understanding the local food. Some friends, brought me there telling me it's one of the best local food. it was true. I was surprised to eat the Laksa, with only a spoon (compare to others stalls) but I did understood, once the bowl arrived, this is katong Laksa with small size noodles... The flavours are great, not too spicy and the quality of the product used are there... Yes it is fresh, and tasty... And true enough, one bowl is never enough....!!!

Singapore Comfort food

You always hear on a lot of cooking show, comfort food. This Katong Laksa is what I define as comfort food. It always make me feel contended everytime I have a bowl of it. And the taste, its always consistence.
