Decent fare though sometimes trying too hard

I work in Asia Square and so have been to 63 quite a lot since it first opened. The food is generally above average. At times, it can be a little too artsy or creative for its own good. I think they'd benefit from dialing it down a notch and going with slightly simpler dishes. It's located in the covered square between two office towers and most of the seats are outdoors, so trying to be too 'shi shi foo foo' doesn't really work. As an example, the fries with truffle oil thing has been done to death, so 63's current take on it is to use real truffle instead. Sounds good but shredded brown truffle bits drooping over a pile of fries isn't as appetizing as it might seem. Lately, they seem to have sorted the personality conflicts and staffing issues that got in the way of providing the best customer experience. This had resulted in unnecessarily high staff turnover, refusals to accommodate even simple customer requests (e.g., swapping fries and onion rings), and inconsistency in their offerings. This had also affected the coffee bar portion of the business, though currently this is pretty good. I'd say it's better now than it has been in the recent past.

The place and the Burrata Burger has been recommended to me by several friends, today I gave it a shot and I'm so glad I finally did it! In this warm and relaxing environment with super friendly staff I bitten what easily will stay for a while in my top burger list ever. Soft and crispy bread juiced up with asparagus reduction hold together high quality meat and a generous piece of burrata's skin with a hint of black truffle, serious stuff! Apparently with the inside of the burrata they do some pasta... I will be back for it!
