For a start, I have never written on a food review website before. However, I felt I wanted to share this experience as it was really unpleasant.
Way back in 2008, I had tried their delivery service and it was alright.
This year, I first placed an order on a Saturday evening but was told delivery will be after 2 hours. As my family was hungry, I decided not to order that day, and made it a point to call earlier next time.
Two weeks later, I made a call at 3pm on a Thursday. I was told delivery will take 2 hours. I made the order.
Then at 5.40pm, there was still no delivery. As I had just woken up from my sleep (I was feeling unwell), I only checked my hp around that time. There were 2 missed calls at about 5.30pm and my hp was on silent mode. I quickly called Golden Pillow 933. They said the delivery man called me but as no one picked up the call, he left. I asked if he could turn back as he only left a short while ago. They said no, and the next delivery will be 2 hours later. When I spoke to the manager, she said earliest will be one hour plus later.
This meant an order placed at 3.00pm will arrive earliest at 7.30pm. That's 4.5 hours delivery time.
I have other family members and 2 dogs at home. If he had done a simple thing like ringing the doorbell, my family members will have opened the door. Furthermore, my 2 dogs would have barked if he was at the door. However, there was no door bell sound, neither did my dogs bark. When I related this to the manager, she said that was the best she could do. My delivery which wa botched up could not be given priority to be delivered, but according to their route as planned for their second delivery man to make his rounds.
Needless to say, I cancelled the order.
Inflexible and lousy service.
