This speciality of the 933 chain of restaurants consists of yummy chicken or mutton curry baked completely inside a fluffy loaf that looks soft enough to sleep on, hence its name. No need to hunt around for bread to mop up the spicy goodness!

Give it a go

On Labour Day, the bf wanted to eat 933 Golden Pillow. So at 5ish, we made our order for the Golden Pillow Mutton Curry. Receptionist said our food would come around 630 to 730. At around 6ish the food was delivered. Bam!

Delivery uncle  said that he had a lot of orders today so he came to delivery our food first.

I thought that wasn't too bad! fast delivery although we did mention to ask them to deliver around 7 but I guess uncle had to plan his route around Singapore so this was the best way for him.

Ok, that aside. Move on to the food.

The bread came in warm and and mutton curry was wrapped up nicely in its pouch. taste test: Mutton curry was fabulous! Plunge the bread into that spicy creamy goodness and eat it with chunks of mutton pieces. However we thought that more curry could be given as they was quite a bit of bread left over. All the curry and meat were wiped out. There were a lot of bad reviews about bad service for this and I thought maybe I'd give them a redeeming point for their good food.

Service may be bad but give it a go on a off peak hour. two thumbs up for mutton curry!

The food is OK, albeit a bit pricey. Those guys who complained about the delivery were right! They say it'll take 2 hours, but it actually arrives much later than that. Who wants any lunch delivered after 2.30pm? Only good for those who eat very late.

I wish I could give zero stars but it wouldn't allow it.

Ordered 1 x chicken curry and 1 x fish curry pillow for dinner. Delivery was done within 45mins so I thought all was going well. Then came the horror, the curry was tasteless and watery. Gosh! I never had curry THAT watery before. It was totally unlike the pictures as advertised. You can get MUCH better curry anywhere else.

As long as any reviews say curry is watery, it's definitely not worth the money. Don't even bother to try.

For a start, I have never written on a food review website before. However, I felt I wanted to share this experience as it was really unpleasant.

Way back in 2008, I had tried their delivery service and it was alright.

This year, I first placed an order on a Saturday evening but was told delivery will be after 2 hours.  As my family was hungry, I decided not to order that day, and made it a point to call earlier next time.

Two weeks later, I made a call at 3pm on a Thursday.  I was told delivery will take 2 hours.  I made the order.

Then at 5.40pm, there was still no delivery.  As I had just woken up from my sleep (I was feeling unwell), I only checked my hp around that time.  There were 2 missed calls at about 5.30pm and my hp was on silent mode.  I quickly called Golden Pillow 933.  They said the delivery man called me but as no one picked up the call, he left.  I asked if he could turn back as he only left a short while ago. They said no, and the next delivery will be 2 hours later.  When I spoke to the manager, she said earliest will be one hour plus later.

This meant an order placed at 3.00pm will arrive earliest at 7.30pm.  That's 4.5 hours delivery time.

I have other family members and 2 dogs at home.  If he had done a simple thing like ringing the doorbell, my family members will have opened the door.  Furthermore, my 2 dogs would have barked if he was at the door.  However, there was no door bell sound, neither did my dogs bark.  When I related this to the manager, she said that was the best she could do.  My delivery which wa botched up could not be given priority to be delivered, but according to their route as planned for their second delivery man to make his rounds.

Needless to say, I cancelled the order.

Inflexible and lousy service.

I've related the facts, you decide if you want to order from them.
