Rude waiter
11 Mar 2013It was the 2nd time for me & my friend to visit there tonight. The 1st time was not bad but unfortunately this time there was a rude Caucasian waiter served us & spoilt our mood.
I reached there first & ordered beer. He banged a glass on the table without any word after long time of waiting then went away.
Then my friend arrived & ordered him a drink. He couldn't catch what she said & yelled at her "What!?"
(I'm not a native English speaker but I've learnt it's rude when I was 12)
And he asked me what drink I would order, even my glass was still filled with beer.
He kept on asking what food we would order, never gave us time. We ordered a salad and he yelled "Only one food!?"
(Of course not, please just let us take our time.)
Food there was alright but I wonder why such an arrogant waiter is working there. If he isn't happy with his job, he can quit & go home. All other Asian waiters / waitresses were smily so we asked other people instead for better service, though, I'm not sure if I would come back there again after we experienced such poor service which I never had at any other restaurants in Singapore.

At East Coast to check out Brussel Sprouts, a Belgium Bar and Bistro set up by celebrity chef Emmanuel Strootbant. Brussel Sprouts is a great place for chilling out and for booze lovers; the bar serves more than a hundred types of beers.
It was a hot afternoon and Brussel Sprouts does not have air-conditioning, it was very warm, I felt like I was in an oven. Sitting near the fans was not an option for me because my hair would be blown all over the place making it impossible to eat. I enjoyed the mussels and would return for more, but in the evening to avoid the heat.
We had:
Meatballs braised in dark beer sauce, onion and mustard served with Pomme croquettes
Meridionale mussels: Saffron, tomato, garlic, herb de province, olive oil, butter, onion, parsley. I enjoyed these very much.

Mussel Power
19 Feb 2012This is an excellent place to chillout and catchup with friends/colleagues. There is a very nice selection of mussels with original and local flavours! Large selection of beer and wines to go with the food as well.
Order the mussel dishs as mains, as it comes with free flow of fries. Perfect for sharing with friends.
What we tried:
1. VBlanc Mussel - Original Belgian flavoured with white wine sauce. Pretty good, but after tasting the local flavours, you will feel the VBlanc is pretty much tasteless!
2. Tom Yam Mussel - Yes, the spicy kick is there.
3. Chilli Crab Mussel - Woohooo...yes. This is my all time favourite. Suggest you try this one last, else it will "overcome" the tast of the other mussel flavours.
Nice ambience by the East Coast as well. Friendly and attentive staff.
