I had a fairly good experience with the food served in this restaurant. I must say their portions are generous as oppossed to most other restaurants which serve similar food with almost a similar price. The duck confit pasta was light and tasty and definitely a rare item that I have come across. My cousin ordered the crab pasta which was also delicious especially with the perfect amount of spice! We ordered the caesar salad and added the chargrilled chicken and I must say that it was tender and yummy...The highlight was the sticky date pudding with the vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce was certainly a treat to die for... It simply topped off everything!Despite being super full, we ended up ordering another set of that. In other words, I would visit this restaurant again!:)))
Was looking forward to my second visit here as I'd been here almost a year ago and I have to say, I'm not just disappointed; I'm appalled. This place used to have good food with equally gigantic portions. And by gigantic I mean that every main could be shared by 2 or more people. Sad to say that was a year ago. I don't know what happened maybe they changed management or something. This visit has told me NEVER TO COME BACK AGAIN. I sat down and decided to have the Salmon Steak with Soba and Calamari. When the calamari came, I wondered how the hell a palmful of calamari could be called a side dish. Imagine a packet of small fries from Macdonalds, but LESS than that. Waited with girlfriend for more than half an hour but the salmon was nowhere to be seen. Tired of the wait, I ordered the Lebanese bread with hummus. To my horror, it came 10 mins later. That wasn't the bad part. Picture this; A tiny dish with some curry-looking paste and HALF A PIECE OF WRAP cut into 6 pieces. You know the NTUC wraps then come in 5 pieces? We had a plate with HALF A PIECE, DIVIDED INTO 6. Price? $6. Cost price? I'd assume half a wrap would be $0.20. A scoop of hummus? Less than $1. I'd say the total cost price would be exactly $1. Excuse me chef what are you trying to prove here? That half an instant wrap qualifies as LEBANESE BREAD? I was already forgiving with the calamari, but the 30 min wait for my main dish and the NTUC wrap was too much for me to handle. When I asked the supervisor for the salmon, he came back after another 10 mins to tell me that I should give them another 5 mins for it to be done. So seriously you wanna make me wait 55 mins for my main? I then asked if he could cancel the salmon as I'd rather get out asap with an empty stomach. He. Never. Came. Back. There was absolutely no apology whatsoever. This was the worst dining experience in my life. When I encountered another place with long waiting time, they at least apologised and waived the service charge. THAT is what customer service is about. We got up, went straight to the cashier and paid for the calamari and "Lebanese bread" (HALF AN NTUC BREAD WRAP). Paid the $20 and left the godforsaken place. I will never ever come back even if it was the last place on earth. Zero food quality. Zero value. Negative infinity customer service. Want to sign up for anger management? Just come here. I guarantee you will wanna burn this place to the ground. Heed my warning: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
Really Cosy and funky place. design is good. food really fresh and awsome. Our Soup tasted to salty so we mentioned that we thought the soup was salty to the waitress she changed it without any problem. i think we maybe added salt automatically and didnt realise it had salt in it. the next soup that came out was fine. mushroom soup is nice. :) would have been even nicer if added truffle oil to it. I enjoyed the fish and chips biggest portion ive seen for a while. easily enough to share. we didnt try desserts or cakes because we were stuffed from mains.
good value lunch with drink included. very nice atmosphere good location. will definately return when its quieter. i counted around 80 people for lunch when i was there. location is not easy to find between hyatt and marriott hotel missed the entrance to scotts square mall a few time. look for the water display entrance to the mall is there.
I found this place by accident and booked for christmas eve as my sister was back from australia. We had a pleasant lunch three of us spent around 70 sgd which was good value we thought. next day was Christmas so we asked about discounts and the staff were very polite and apologetic and explained no discount cards today or tomorrow as it is a holiday. not everyone accepted this and we saw a young table being really rather rude. It actually embarressed me to listen to the dude talking to the staff and being so pushy, insisting they had made a mistake. i overheard the conversation and he was told almost word for word tha same as us. Fortunately my sister stopped me going over and saying something to him. The staff seemed to handle him well they were polite friendly and calm. it reminded me of a youtube video i saw at mcdonalds which Ive posted below. i wish i had videoed the complaint here and posted it on youtube.
Delicious was definately good value
I study design and a friend recommended i visit delicious. I went and was glad it is really cool design. compact looking restaurant with space for at least 80 customers. The trees and birds with the cages are really smart. we spoke to the staff about the design etc and they were really helpful. Staff were kind gave me someones email to gain more information. recommended sticky date pudding for us and also the duck confit pasta. was reasonably priced. no discount because of public holiday so we couldnt use our uob card but its only ten percent discount. we were better to go for the buy one main get dessert free which was suggested. thanks to the nice waitress on duty. xoxoxoxoxo
