    Katsuya

    25 Mar 2013
    Ah Katsuya, awesome place with awesome food, I usually start with the Miso base pork broth soup(Tonjiru) and Chilled Spinach with sliced Shitake mushroom(Horenso Ohitashi) and then have either the lamb or beef katsu set, however lately i have shifted to eating grilled rosu which is nicely roasted, it just explodes in your mouth with the taste and the sauce.

    The atmosphere does remind me some of the more expensive restaurants in melbourne but the backdrop of the tokyo rainbow bridge brings back fond memories of Japan. That aside, it's fairly close to 112 katong, near the overhead bridge, if you are looking for good katsu or just looking for a good japanese meal within the 30 dollar range, look no further than katsuya!

    I also recommend this place for:

    After Work, Ala Carte, Anniversary, Birthdays, Boys Night Out, Business Dining, Chillout, Dinner, Fine Dining, Girls Night Out, Hidden Find, Lunch, Nice Deco, Quiet, Relaxed

      Surprisingly good!

      25 Aug 2012
      Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick eat and something that isn't going to rob your wallet. Katsu pork was delicious and the service was spot on and we were pleasantly surprised. The ambience is very different than other restaurants on East Coast Road, and could probably be considered upscale for the area. Reminded me of a modern joint in New York.

        I also recommend this place for:

        Supper, Dinner, Large Groups/Gathering, Children/Family, After Work, Private Dining, Chillout, Quiet
