It was time for catching up with one of the Buddies, and we chose Maison Ikkuko this time - a lifestyle turnstile that is a cafe by day and cocktails bar by night. Look at all the low, cushy seats that are so comfortable to sink into - though a little low for eating / drinking.

 Maison Ikkoku may look pretentious but their food (and coffee) are really quite splendid. The weekend all-day breakfast selection may be decidedly limited with just 10 egg dishes, but boy, are they good. So good I think they make worthy rivals of the king of brunch Wild Honey.
