Ambience is great but Food is meh

Had my anniversary dinner here at Nosh for the first time. The ambience is great, very cozy and thank goodness there were no mosquitoes which are usually a problem for alfresco dining. We had Flank Steak, Crab Cake and a Vegetarian Lasagna. Out of all the food items we ordered, only the complimentary Oven Baked Flat Bread was very yummy. I liked my lasagna, the zucchini and squash were very yummy. But my partner was not so impressed with the Flank Steak - I believe they used black bean sauce for their Asian marinade - which didn't really go well. The flank steak dish was a bit disappointing and more on the salty side on overall, not worth $35. Overall, it's worth going once for the ambience but not so much on the food.

Before considering the food, the venue itself is gorgeous. Especially on a cool evening, outdoors with the lights hanging, the place is amazing. Food was very good too. Pork chop was very well done. Lamb and steak also solid choices. The crab cakes were delicious, and the curry side really made them stand out.
