Totally Overated

P
opular dishes are totally overated. Duck confit waas okay-ish, and the Chicken stuffed with foie gras has a stinky smell..
Service was very good though..
Salted caramel lava cake was good too!

Duck Confit!

If you want to try French cuisine but doesn’t want to be too expensive, you have to visit Saveur. It is around 5 to 7 minutes walk from Bugis Junction. We had ordered a three course meal which comes with a soup, main course and a dessert. Highly recommending their duck confit which taste super super good. Seabass is not too bad. For those that are not into dessert, can topup $2 for Ice lemon tea or $7 for glass of house pour wine.

Inflexible service in seating

Really didn't get a chance to try out the food here but won't be back again. Restaurant had about 4-5 servers for an extremely tiny sliver of the restaurant and refused to open the second section for lunch, resulting in an expectation of an 30 minute wait for diners. It would have been an easy fix too - have someone keep an occasional eye out, letting us know service might be a bit slow, putting us right next to the kitchen in other to avoid overlooking us. Incredibly hidebound, stubborn rules-obsessed manager and lack of service and solution orientation. With this kind of service, save your money and your time and don't even bother showing up. Just to add I was a solo diner so would have been incredibly easy to manage.

Not recommended

Tried the set lunch there recently and order the duck confit as the main dish. The meat was dried and not tasty at all, kind of like they precooked and reheat it to cater for the lunch crowd. unlikely to visit again

Great food, affordable prices

This place is known for its duck confit which I've had before and enjoyed. This time I had the salmon. It was cooked to perfection on a delicious bed of creamy risotto. My only complaints are that the accompanying vegetables were too few and the portion could have been 20% larger. Flavors were fantastic and the freshness of ingredients was clear. This place has very slight room left to grow before they reach 5 stars!

NOISY ENVIRONMENT

Been there for dinner, luckily make reservation before arrive and table serve immediate, save the waiting time.
There is only few choice in the menu. We order the signature pasta, duck and seabass. The portion is small, taste ok, price medium range($15-30). Although i like the interior design but the environment is noisy, customer talking very loud just like pasar. If you planing for romantic dinner, please find other restaurant. Overall.. 6/10
