This charming and cosy space in a shophouse along Chinatown specialises in waffles, pancakes and all things breakfast. Look foward to its range of other breakfast items like panini sandwiches, baked eggs and the Shibuya toast. The 3rd floor can be used to hold events for up to 70 people.

awesome pancakes and surprisingly good pizza

We went to check out this cafe after seeing INSTAGRAM pics of their pancakes. We were not disappointed. According to the staff, Pancake batter is made in house several times a Day which, from what we understand , the key to a fluffy pancake. We ordered a regular stack with Apple cinnamon compote. Should Have made it a long stack. My companion ordered the MeatBall and mash thin crust pizza. It was surprisingly good. And Really Great value for money. Generously sized at 33cm. Will definitely be back for more.

Working in Chinatown, it was great news to find a place with decent coffee within a short walk of the office.
First couple of tries, great.

However, yesterday was a big fail.

First of all I placed my order for takeaway and was asked to take a seat. I waited a while then saw that others who came after me were being served so I went up to the counter to remind them I was waiting. They seemed to have missed my order in the queue. It was busy, so understood, but still this needs to be addressed by the otherwise polite staff.

When I did get my coffee (hot), it was given to me in a plastic cup, the type used at juice stalls. I asked them why not a paper cup for hot drinks, as they usually serve and they said they had run out. This meant I paid $6.20 for a coffee (quite pricey) served in a plastic cup that was melting and bendy by the time I got back to my desk. Needless to say I did not enjoy the coffee at all.
Another tip - if you are a coffee bar offering takeaway, then get enough paper cups OR warn people before you take the order that you only have plastic cups.

A shame as I am now craving a coffee at work but hesitant to go back there. Time to find a new coffee place...

If you're just hanging out with friends and don't really mind having to wait a long time for your drinks or food, The Loft is a lovely location to chill and talk. The location and place is lovely- lots of natural light- and not as noisy or crowded as hipster hangouts go. They also take reservations on weekends, which was a plus for my friends and I (but they do not respond on email enquiries). However, that's pretty much it. Our drinks were long in coming- they completely forgot the drinks of two of my friends and they had to follow up in person at the counter. The food took a while, and while not bad, it didn't taste like it made up for everything else. They charge for service, but you are expected to go to the counter to order.

Lousy Customer Service
I MADE Reservation for window seat table. However, upon my timely arrival, the staff did not make any effort to ensure that my reservation criteria are fulfilled.

The staff commented that no window seat table available and will be subjected to availability.

Fine! Just go with the non-window seat table then!

Food
Ordered The Carribean flatbread. So-so. Nothing fabulous as claimed by other diners. Tea is still alright.

Room for improvement

Dont promise customer when cannot be delivered!
