It seems that Wafflelicious is really all about waffles, as evident from the greater number of waffle flavours compared to ice cream flavours. There were around 5-6 ice cream flavours, which was no greater than the number of flavours for the waffles. Well, the waffles were not too bad, exuding a slightly charred aroma, coupled with a crispy outer crust and a fluffy but slightly scrawny interior. However, they did not seem to complement the ice cream well and was more tasty on its own. Moreover, at a price of $3.50 per waffle and $3.20 for a single scoop, we could find better ice cream and waffles for a more competitive price at Udders.

Wafflelicious is a cafe that prides itself on novelty flavored waffles. For such a dessert cafe to excel, it has to have great tasting waffles and ice-cream. Unfortunately, the food is just average.

The thing about waffles is that it doesn't look s***, unlike donuts, which can be decorated with frosting and colourful bits on top. So while flavored waffles may be nice, it looks almost similar to a plain waffle, thus lacking an attaction factor of delicious food.

Note that their waffles are the fluffy, soft versions, not the crispy variety.

Wafflelicious is also let down by their range of ice-cream, which is rather limited... Around 5 flavours at most. And their ice-cream isn't as good as those you'll typically get at artisanal ice-cream palours.

Wafflelicious isn't bad though. Just that it's not good enough for me to want to travel there just for their waffles. Would probably visit more often if I lived around the area.

Upper Thomson Road is soon becoming my favorite hangout place for post work dinner & dessert.

While exploring all the culinary delights along that stretch. Wafflelicious is a bright, cheery waffle speciality cafe that you will definitely not miss.

You can choose to sit inside the cool white concept air-con interior or enjoy the cool (only in the evening) Al fresco & soak in the area charm.

The cafe operates on a self service concept. You will need to walk into the cashier to make your order in 4 easy steps! The young staff managing the counter was friendly & helpful with suggestions, the tough part is making up your mind.

We selected Cinnamon and Passionfruit flavored waffles from the wide array of flavor choices completed with a scoop of Vanilla & Mango gelato ice cream. To taste the waffles with minimum distraction, additional toppings were given a miss.

I love the aroma of fresh waffles and the sweet taste of maple syrup mixed with ice cream and crispy waffles. The waffle flavors did not surface too much in the mix. I guess they made more of a difference before everything gets jumbled together.

Overall, this cafe is a great place for afternoon leisure chit chats or post dinner chill out sessions. Yummy waffles & gelato ice cream are reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly.

haha i was so excited to know that wafflelicoius was coming - doesn't it sound delicious? :D but cos of that, i was sort of disappointed when i went there >.< the waffles are so small!

the pricing is $3.50 for the cinnamon waffle, and three toppings costs $1.80.

there are quite a range of toppings to chose from! i would suggest getting one of the juicy toppings like the jams or maybe the chocolate sauce cos the waffle on its own is quite dry >.< i guess cos it would be good with the gelato? but we didnt order it. and  i was so sad they didnt have the green tea waffle :((( but the cinnamon one was nice! it was the most fragrant (:

    The name says it all.

Waffles can be found at most icecream parlours and some have said that waffles generally taste the same. Well, I don't know about you but I know I met a good waffle at Wafflelicious!

Located along upper thomson where you can find Sara's, Old School Delights etc, Wafflelicious is not difficult to locate at all. With its big signboard, it is bound to catch your eye. And parking is readily available just outside the shop.

They have waffles in many interesting flavours! Banana, cinnamon, green tea... We took really long to decide. The unadventurous part of us won this time round as we opted for the original waffle. There were 4 icecream flavours available. Chocolate chip, dark chocolate, vanilla and raspberry. We were pretty full from dinner so we decided on just an original waffle with a scoop of icecream. I was torn between the chocolate chip and dark chocolate because they were both gooddd.

    1) Original waffle with chocolate chip icecream and maple syrup! $6.20

The waffle was crispy and fragrant and the inside was fluffy and soft. It was good! Coupled with a scoop of yummy icecream and maple syrup, this was a winner! And with a price this good, we know exactly where to go to satisfy any craving for waffles in the future. Also, Wafflelicious opens till pretty late and it is definitely the place for you if you're looking for desserts after 10pm or a hang-out place that operates till late.

    Pictures Here

I chanced upon Wafflelicious after my extremely delightful and satisfying dinner @ Tamon Japanese Restaurant. Wafflelicious worked on a concept where one would firstly choose the type of waffles they wanted ($3-$3.80) then have a choice of gelato flavor ($3.20-$3.80) then have an additional choice of toppings starting from ($0.70). After much pondering, I opted for the Banana Waffle ($3.50) with an additional serving of Chocolate Chip Gelato ($3.20). A plus point to this place was that their waffles were freshly made to order, along with their homemade gelato.

Banana Waffle w Choc Chip Gelato ($6.70)

The waffle arrived pipping hot as the pungent aroma of banana scent got me excited even before i started! The waffle had a subtle banana flavor while being a little overpowering at times, nonetheless it was toasted to a nice golden crisp on the exterior and yet moist on the inside. The Gelato was competent but not spectacular as it complemented the waffle well, making it a rather pleasant dessert overall.

Final thoughts? I thought the waffles at Wafflelicious are not bad in fact, as I  definitely would be back to sample more of their creations considering prices are pretty reasonable. Hopefully this place would also last long enough before my next visit as shops at that particular stretch along Upper Thomson road have never seemed to stay open for long.

I am not an expert on waffles but I really like the liege ?waffles? here.

Wiki says liege waffles are a "richer, denser, sweeter, and chewier waffle" (Ooooh, now I want some!) <-- Take note though, liege waffles sell in limited quantities so be prepared to be disappointed if you dun go early, in my experience, it sells out by ard 8p).

Wafflelicious also have a variety of flavours for their main waffles; blueberry, chocolate, cinnamon, mango, banana, etc. (I hear there's plans for more flavours! yippeee!). The waffles now are crispier on the outside (they changed just wafflemaker after getting lots of feedback that most prefer crispier texture) though after a while the waffles get darker in colour as the day progresses. The flavours are ok, but is enhanced when complemented by certain gelato flavours. Personally, I like blueberry waffle w raspberry gelato, and chocolate waffle w choc chip gelato. Dark choc gelato is a tad bit bitter for my liking (good if u really like dark choc).

Being close to where I usually hang out, I was excited to find out that Wafflelicious opens till 1am on weekends!

As I luuurve TWG teas, I was even more excited they sell a few of the teas, and what's more, at probably the lowest price in town!

I understand it's a new operation, so naturally, they underwent some teething problems. Talking to the staff, I was happy to know they take in feedbacks and were willing to listen, and improve. But I doubt they can do much now seeing they are pretty busy with the operations of the shop. I do hope they hire more help so they can concentrate on the other stuff like improving operations, improve publicity and feedback channels (good help are so hard to find these days!)

Despite the barrage of shop offering desserts ard the Thomson area, this shop is kinda refreshing becoz the rest of dessert shops sells MOSTLY ICE-CREAM. Which is not my thing (I much rather eat the, IMO, "just-nice" sized waffles here, probably less calories than ice-cream oso hur hur).

So bottom line, do not expect some atas dessert place, just enjoy it for what it is, a casual neighbourhood hangout tt offers variety of waffles w nice (low-priced) teas.

I am an avid supporter of new outlets and do understand how new outlets undergo teething problems when they first start operations.

However this store stands out for bashing the goodwill of new customers on their maiden visit.

On a fateful night, a group of us visited this store. The waffles were served cold with half melted ice-cream (seriously!) causing the waffles to be soggy. Curt and indifference service added to the extra icing. We overheard complaints from almost every table around us.

Needless to say, this will be my first and last visit. There are many other dessert stores around here which serves far better waffles and more flavors of yummy ice-cream like Salted Caramel, Scoopz and Eskimo. I had high expectations of the waffles here because of the name but they were sadly pedestrian at best and frankly worse than the other ice-cream shops which serves as a side.
