I regretted traveling all the way to have my waffles-fix here. I've ordered the cinnamon waffle with macadamia ice cream, served with almond topping. The combination does makes a difference i do agree, however i did get a slightly undercook waffle on the underside. The portion of undercooked batter that taste worse than the one u get at primaDeli. The batter was queerly mixed as the waffles taste heavy like a big slate of dough mixed, which made me want to stop eating after the first bite. It gave a very hard texture, and it was very dry. I'm the kind who likes cinnamon roll and flavour, but this cinnamon waffles makes it hard to swallow which i ate barely less than half of what i was served. the cinnamon waffles costed $0.30 more at $3.80, and the macadamia gelato costed slightly more too at $3.60. almond cost $1. They had a promotion where you get a milo/orea shake at $2.90 for any waffles you ordered, and it tasted way way way overly SWEET. overall i just want to get a refund that is just not worth for the waffles i had. the other chocolate waffles that i tried was hard as rock too, and the gelato tasted really bitter. over $21 for the waffles at this place is definitely my final visit, unless this place pay some serious attention on its waffles to live up to its name. The complimentary water service really tasted lukewarm water straight from the tap, especially that it is a desert cafe with overly sweet stuff.
Advice would be change the batter of the waffles so that it would taste lighter and fluffier. Watch the time set for cooking the waffle so that the waffles do not turn out to be so hard. Reduce the sweetness of the milo/orea shake. Serve ice cold water with lemon slices. Customers would definitely appreciate your actions of thoughtfulness.
For me, I'm definitely going to try salted caramel, pancakes and udders which seem more popular on the other side of the street the next time.
