Tried their promotion Abalone, Lobster and Bird's Nest Set $39++ for lunch (valid till 30 Apr 2013). Most portions are small hence you don't feel stuffed. Braised Er fu noodles and the fish fillet are delicious. The lobster does not taste as fresh though the portion is decent. For the current promotion price, the menu is not bad. Service is attentive and the ambience on the 4th floor is nice.

The food is ok but the service is atrocious. Waiteresses are rude and impatient.. What's insulting was when one of them gave us the stare of shame when we asked for the desert menu but didnt order anything in the end. Subsequently, the staff threw the bill on the table and made a snide comment saying lots of people are queuing, when we didn't even ask for th. bill. 
 
Another classic example of restaurant staff full of attitude bec the restaurant has gained some.popularity. Utterly disappointing.please buck up.

Since young, my family loves going for good food to celebrate special occasions. And Ah Yat was one of our frequent dining places. This was where I developed my love for braised abalone, Peking duck and bird nest.
