I love their pastas, i like the special sauces that i can mix around with and the variety of pastas that i can select. Recently i fell in love with tortelini with cheese... :)
Besides serving good pastas at reasonably price & portion. They do serve nice pot of mussels accompanied with thick fries. Personally, i prefer it in thai sauce.
Next time, i shall try the sausages with rosti...
However, their beverages taste abit bland after you had their the flavorful dishes...
e.g their caramel tea, peach tea & lemon tea... can be sweeter...
Been there more than 5 times and everytime we left satisfied. It's so addictive that it seems everytime we're glued there when we go Jurong Point.
Shall cut the story short and recommend some of our fave dishes. Oh, so far we love every dish we ordered, no complaints.
1) Pork Cheese Cracker with Rosti
2) White Cod pasta in pesto sauce (generous piece of cod for only $14.50. Like 5 times thicker than Sakae Sushi Teppanyaki grillled cod!)
3) Clams pot in white wine (with mashed potato) (slightly grainy at times)
(medium size pot not much difference from small pot)
4) Marinara in tomatoe
5) Sausage platter
6) Smoked duck salad
7) Clam chowder
8) Seafood paella
Wonderful prices, decent portions, good service. Ambience wise, it's actually not very crowded everytime I go so pretty great for a brunch or dinner because conversations are possible. If you care to look around, you'll notice every table are full of dishes. I.e, with additional 3rd or 4th dishes despite 2 diners only.
A great set lunch place, with excellent selections from $9.90-11.90. Had the Paella seafood.
Ample portions and tasty. They make it with bacon bits and sausage slices with enough
Tangy tomato paste. I really like their paella, craved it since i had it at their Taka outlet.
Was never a fan of paella with chicken.
This is also the place inthe West to get your Paulener Brauhaus beer (bottled) and
German sausages fix while you people watch shoppers passing you away from
the Sg pore heat. Mains like cod, steak etc are reasonably priced.

Ambush boasts of being a fast casual european dining place and has been around in Singapore for many years. For a weekday set lunch of only $9.90 & above, it is rather affordable in contrast with other more pricey european dining options.
Of course, it really wasn't any European dining. My mother tried to order some pasta that was widely available in Paris, but the waiter said 'we only have spaghetti, linguine and penne'. Even Pasta Mania has more options than Ambush, so why do they boast of being an European dining center?
I ordered a Bockwurst with Cranberry Butter Rice and Fries for $9.80 and a Salmon Fillet, Thai Basil Sauce for $11.90.
I was quite surprised by the great taste of the mini sausage here. I prefer it than their ambush paella. The other unexpected thing is their waiter will give you the bill without your requesting... they were not closing by the time so it remains as a myth...
