Rude Staff!
22 Jun 2012I don't understand why such people still work in a front-liner job when they don't even know to show respect and manners. I was here yesterday around lunch time to check out the food. i was about to dine in, when i saw the big advertisement for job seekers. I have a friend looking for a job so im thinking i probably refer it to her. And there's this middle aged man wearing blue shirt standing in front of the restaurant. who's already looking at us. He probably thought i was a foreigner and that i will apply for a job. When i said "Escuse me"(the only WORD i said) he immediately said in a rude way "NO QUOTA!". I don't think this is appropriate! Is he a mindreader? enough to jump into conclusion that i am a foreigner looking for a job? and even so, is this how you should decline a person looking for job?!? he himself had gone through this process as well. This is a matter of respect not only to the people who wants to dine in in your restaurant thus respect to one another. I've been a restaurant staff myself and i know very well how to act in this kind of business. Maybe the management should screen properly the staffs coz these kind of attitude may reflect to your business. I love food myself and enjoy trying varieties of dishes myself but dining in with a staff full of attitude problem will just loss my appetite.

Great Service thanks to Mr Paul Leong
29 Aug 2011We've been here on several occassions for their delightful house cut. Their steaks surpass most other restaurants considering prices of prime cuts at casual dining rates. What amazes us is the exceptional service from Mr Paul Leong. His jovial and warm personality brings a smile to everyone and is worth commending

Service Crews Disappoints Us
25 Aug 2011This is not a complaint, but more of a constructive feedback.
I've always been a fan of this place, even though it’s my fifth visit
here, I loved their service especially their hospitable managers, Mr Paul Leong
especially. He has excellent customer service and definitely made our visits
worthwhile.
My friend and I decided to have dinner on the 19th August here. We came
in around 7.20pm, the place was crowded but we managed to get a table for 2.
Since my friend and I have gave a thought to what we wanted before we came, we
placed our orders at about 7.25pm after trying to get the servers attention,
the same time as the table beside us. We
ordered Beer Battered Fish and New York Striploin with 2 glasses of ice water.
We waited with nothing on our table for ten minutes. No ice water was
served, till we had to ask twice, once to a Chinese male server who
acknowledged our request, went into the kitchen, disappeared for a few minutes
and came out with nothing. So, we decided to ask our server, Connie, the one
who took our order, for our ice water, ridiculously; she gave us the blur look.
It shocked me, because as far as I know, when a server takes orders, they would
immediately serve us ice water and do settings on the table, but she didn’t. Fine, ten minutes of waiting for 2 glasses of
ice water, that is already a turned off.
Half an hour later, 7.50pm, I decided to leave. We waited for half an
hour and our food is not served, I finished my ice water and the table who
ordered at the same time as us got their Chicken and Steak, finished eating
them as well and those who came later than us got theirs as well. If she is at
fault for forgetting to key in our orders, at least have the integrity to come
to our table and apologise, so we can at least understand. But making us wait
stupidly with nothing on our table, RIDICULOUS! We customers have feelings too
you know.
I broke down in frustration, because my pleasant evening was spoilt due
to a bad service. If the managers can do a good job, why can’t the service crew
do justice by offering the same standard of service? Because of two black
sheep, I am having second thoughts about patronising the restaurant again. I
know they got nothing to lose, but still, disappointing a customer reflects
badly on them and what more, the managers have to step in shows how incapable
the servers are at dealing with customers. And I realised Astons Website has no
customers’ feedback section, made me think what if their service is really that
bad till they are afraid to have one?!?
