Bad dining experience.
11 Apr 2013Heard plenty of positive reviews online. But when I went there with my friends, it was a nightmare. I ordered the 400g steak. ordered it medium and they served me medium well. requested to change it. they say they ran out of steak. It was tough and overdone. and to my sunrise. the male waiter tried to lecture me about how to cut a steak.I was furious. I mean I work in the culinary industry and someone is trying to teach me how to cut my steak. best of all is they tried to charge me for it when I did not ate it at all. but they did not charge me in the end. I wrote my thoughts on facebook and gave my feedback to them. they Took it personally and wanted to take legal action against me if I did not remove my thoughts. definitely not a place I would recommend friends or family to go there to. despite of the humongous portions, the service is disgusting.
Poor staff services and food.
03 Feb 2013Steak , tough overcooked. tasted like rubber. Frozen meat. When you reject it. Staff starts giving excuses that meat is marinated 3 days. marinating that long will just make the meat melt into your melt. Instead its so hard like your sole of your shoe. Disgusting. Price is definetly not worth the food.

Squid Ink Pasta – $16.00
The squid ink spaghetti is cooked aglio olio way, which they claim is their speciality cooking method after perfecting for 3 years, and is topped with cherry tomato, squid, and seasoned octopus. My friend said that the squid tastes flour-ish and she didn’t finish it. She liked the pasta itself though.
Ravioli of the day – $15.50
Today’s ravioli was stuffed with mushroom and cheese and served with tomato sauce. I had this and I find it not bad. I have been having ravioli cravings for a long time.
Aglio Olio – $7.50
This aglio olio is essentially the same as the squid ink version except that regular spaghetti was used. However, it didn’t taste quite the same as the usual aglio olio. It was somewhat sweet and they probably added some sort of sugar as the garlic clumps together.
Seafood pasta in cream sauce – $15.00
The amount of seafood on this pasta was generous and so was the serving of pasta. I didn’t try this.
Sausage and mushroom pizza – $16.00
I didn’t try this but it everyone thought it just tasted ordinary.
Meringue Cake with ice cream – $8.00
The meringue was good, as how meringue is usually good. However it wasn’t as good as The Patissier’s Passion Fruit Meringue, but of course that’s from another league. The ice cream, however, tasted like cheap ice cream.
Overall, the food was not bad at very reasonable prices. What’s more, prices are nett. However, the service could be faster as we waited longer than usual for our items to be served. The seating area is extremely small as well and we had no choice but to take outdoor seats. Food wise, it’s quite a good halal restaurant with big portions.
