With smiling wait staff and tables draped in chequered linen, a rendezvous at this yellow shophouse is a quaint and romantic affair. The music is mostly jazz, blues and slow rock tunes, which adds to the dreamy atmosphere. Chow down on Provencale-type salads, bruschetta and other varieties of finger food from the French menu, while sipping on a glass of vino—you won’t be disappointed with the selection.

Great Tenderloin Steak

Beaujolais has one of my favourite Tenderloin steak, priced at a very competitive $42++. It's nicely pink in the middle, grilled on the outside. I've been there three times and have never been disappointed.It's a bit hot seating outside, but I guess it's part of the atmosphere of the restaurant.
The wine list is decent, a bit expensive in my opinion.

Last time I was here I had the carbonara (with cream..) and the gf had the quiche (huge portion). Both were very decently priced and tasty quite nice. The carbonara has a deep and rich flavor (lots of cream and salt) and albeit not traditionally Roma style it is a nice change from my daily Asian dishes. The gf couldn't finish the quiche so lucky me, leftovers!

The food and wine are ok but the problem I have with this place is that the music and noise does not match the checkered Montmartre tablecloths, bentwood chairs and nice alfresco seating. Every time I'm there or walk past the music is banging very loud and the waiting staff is controlling the music player with their own iPods. This usually leads to overly loud Neyo, David Guetta, etc and just not fits a relaxing wine session euro style. Last time I left early after my meal and had my final rounds of wine at the Spanish place across the road.

All in all, not the best place in Club Street. Would def be back but check the music before walking in.

I had dinner at this restaurant with 7 friends. We ordered appetizers, mains and at least 3 bottles of wine. After 3 bottles of wine 2 hours later (10.30pm), the waiter asked if we wanted another bottle. We told him 'maybe later'. He came over again 10 mins to ask again. Once again, we told him 'maybe later'. 10 mins later, he came back with our bill (which we did not ask for).

Shocked I was! When looked around, other patrons were only have 1 glass of wine the entire night but were not told to leave. Not sure if this restaurant gives special treatment to expats. But we did spend a lot of $ there. Very upset with the service and the ill-mannered waiters.
