Bob's Bar

BeerWesternWine
Just a short drive through Sentosa’s lush greeneries, guests have often been engulfed with awe as the roads and trees give way to the majestic splendour of Capella. Bob’s Bar is no different; blending into the resort’s colonial charm, the bar offers a tropical respite while evoking a classy experience.

Worth the drive

We wanted a place where we didn't have to jostle for tables on a Saturday night. Basically, such a place doesn't exist unless it was: New and not yet well-known, and inaccessible as hell. Capella popped into mind, and a quick search on our trusty iphones resulted in this fabulous find.

Bob's Bar boasts a great view overlooking the sea beyond the hotel's infinity pools. The daybeds were great for chilling out and the staff very helpfully brought the portable fans closer to us when we complained it was warm.

Staff were knowledgeable and articulate, and were more than happy to engage in a bit of chit chat. You get the sense that they enjoy their work and that liveliness bounced off them to make us feel really welcomed.

I wanted to go for my regular Bombay Sapphire & Tonic but the staff recommended I try Tanqueray which he claims is his favorite, and so I did. Good choice! The champagne cocktails were great as well.

I'll go back to check out the wine list soon.

Drinks and sunset

Catch a beautiful sunset here as you lounge at the sheltered terrace overlooking the hotel's pools. With a wide variety of drinks not for faint hearted, I would recommend going for the Cumquat Sidecar which is a potent combo of cognac, cointreau, lemon juice and marmalade.

sensational cocktails

Stopped here for a pre-dinner drink on our way to dinner at Cassia. Turned out to be a great decision, the cocktails were very high quality. The staff were very courteous. The drinks came with some very nice snacks which we appreciated.

The bar itself has a nice view over the sea and has some cool bed style lounges for couples.

Only complaint was how the bar seemed to capture no breeze (they did put out a lot of fans though).

Great place to hang out and have a drink

erfect, quiet place to have a drink with friends...came here a couple of times after dinner...drinks are all pretty good...view and atmosphere is excellent...service is good, but they can have a few more people working late at night...located in a very nice hotel, though entrance could be a little bit more noticeable...will definitely be back here more ofte

It was an unforgettable moment we had there.

When my friends and I was on the way to the imbiah outlook to have our dessert in one of the bar's there, there was this "CAPELLA" sign board that attracted my attention . We decided to stop by at this new hotel and hoping to find a nice lounge to chill out and yes we found this bar . The bar was located on the basement left hand side . We walked down the staircase and was greeted by a polite server. The atmosphere was really soothing with a luxury touch up. As we just had a full dinner earlier and so each of us decided to order a light beverage , beer. While waiting for the beers to be served we took some pictures as we were mesmerized by the atmosphere. The servers were really well trained and they were full of initiative to approach us and offer his and her assistance to take a picture of us. When we returned to our table, there was an array of tidbits served ( almond , macadamia nut and olive) together with our order. Upon finishing the last gulp of our order, one of the server came and chatted with us , i was complementing on the olive they served and she offered us another set of tidbits free of charge. I was quite shocked as we ordered a mere bottle of beer and she would go that far for that kind service which i find quite rare in Singapore . The bill came earlier as the cashier was closing , we understood that. My frens and I were enjoying the moment there and definitely I shall be back for more . The air-coned seatings , i would say is rather limited , prob it would be able to accomodate around 20 patrons . however the outside seating is spacious.
