The quaint cobble-stoned path leading up to Broth starts your journey to a bit of Europe within Singapore. Dining at Broth reminds me of a small homely restaurant anywhere in Europe.. the cosy interior with warm lighting and wood nestled within a restored shophouse, and the quiet street outside where we prefer to sit, in candlelight.
For its name, the soup selection is limited- just one. But it usually lives up to it's name which it shares with the establishment; full bodied, rich and statisfying (it was Pumpkin on the day we went).
The mains are as expected- veges fresh, meats done right, good pairing wines. Amongst the many western eateries in Singapore, differentiating one from another tends to be the mood it creates during the experience, and Broth hits the spot for me for the warm feelings it gives- just like a cup of warm soup.
