1 11 January, 2008Went there for the first time when my uncle decide to treat us on his retirement day.. Was surprised to see the dining area fully air-con and very different from what i used to visualised jalan kayu.
We ordered Melaka style Garoupa, Chilli Crab, Hotplate beancurd, thai chicken and kailan in oyster sauce. A great meal i would say, with tasty food, cosy ambience and jovial service staff. I then ordered a plain prata to try and i must say that their prata is the best in jalan kayu. Been to the shop next to it and the other "famous" one, but you gotto try the one in cafeela.
Been returning to the restaurant every week now and this restaurant has become my family's favourite. The one thing they could improve is to have more service staff as customers may have to wait for about 10 minutes before order is taken in the weekends.

Kitchen Man not that i can remember audrey.. whatever the price, its worth the money. Dun think its very ex.. should be about $30 per kg.08 May 2008 12:35 -
