Top choice for fast food fix

I rarely go for burgers, it has been over a year since any MacDonalds etc, and I've been meaning to try Carls Jr, so today was the day for a fast food friday lunch. After gazing up and down the menu a few times, I finally opted for the safe choice original thickburger with 100% angus beef. And with encouragement from my friend I upsized to large, which might now necessitate some exercise over the weekend to offset.

The burger lived up to expectation. Filled with fresh, juicy ingredients and tasty sauces, it was a joy to eat, and relatively easy to handle too for such a huge burger. The chips also very good and with some skin left on, which I prefer. Overall I give it the thumbs up and will aim to go again (next year, this years' fast food now quota filled) !

Size Does Matter.

Carl's Jr has a common saying, "She'd tell you size doesn't matter. She's lying." Yes indeed, Carl's Jr burgers are huge, typical American size portion would always be too much for most of us Singaporeans. Normally to solve this, I'd just share a full meal with a partner.

Though a fan of beef, I like the char-boiled chicken burger on their menu best. Well-marinated pure chicken breast, cooked by half boiled and half char grilled. It has its distinctive house taste which lingers even when you're done with your meal. I've to say, I've this habit to grab lots of salsa from the self-help condiments booth and spam it on my burger before every bite I take. It adds to the 'oomph', I'm greedy.

I also like the popular chili beef cheese fries. Chili- I like my spice on food. Beef- now that's something related to beef. And Cheeese- who doesn't love cheese? Of course it doesn't take a genius to know these 4 items of chili, beef, cheese and fries are absolutely a very very bad(unhealthy) combination. Sinfully sinful, but I still take enjoyment to every moment I sink my teeth into them.

Carls Jr would always be my most preferred American fast food.

Juicy & Fresh Burger

What else can we say about Carl's Jr. burgers...it's fresh, juicy, big portion but it definitely worth your penny.

Service was prompt and quite friendly as your typical fast food chain.

If you're looking for fresh burger, this is definitely the place.

junior with senior appetite

met bro JWNY on an adhoc arrangement to meet for dinner in town. the downpour was working up a big rumble of hunger in the gut. made our special orders over the counter, grabbed our seat & started ourselves on the free flow of drinks.

the portions & servings are generous as it gets, and i do hope they will maintain as is, and not undergo any downsizing in the long run. the beef is juicy, not too tough not too soggy, just nice.

though the melted cheeze became quite a mess, when i unwrapped.

the services are prompt and friendly, though i wished the air conditioning could be better regulated. the freezing temperature made me get out sooner than i felt necessary to.

Need for meat

Wednesday (23 Jan 08). After the vegetarian wedding dinner I attended over the weekend, I was still craving for meat. This was despite the fact that I already had a steak for lunch on Sunday. I still wanted meat, so that's how I ended up here for my dinner. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Burger Combo with CrissCut Fries and a drink for $13.30.

My meal was served very quickly. It was my first time having the Portobello Mushroom Burger and I certainly enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the CrissCut Fries very much. I felt really fully after finishing my meal. The 2 other 'perks' I like about Carl's Jr is the free-flow of pickles and salsa mix at the self-help condiments booth; and the cut lemon chunks at the drinks dispenser.

I particularly like this branch of Carl's Jr because it is seldom as crowded as the other branches.
