Great place to chill out
27 Mar 2013The only problem I had with it was that it did not serve tea/coffee, which I kinda needed when I was there on a strict no-alcohol diet.
: chicken liver pate

One of the best Unique places that you seldom find in sg for chilling out and gatherings!
22 Aug 2012Simply an awesome place for chilling out with tasty unique bar food and an extensive drink list that spans beers, wines, whiskys, sakes & the list goes on. There was something for everyone in our group.
As I walk pass, the deco & warm cosy ambience of Celina's caught my attention. Old shop house style, art on the walls, makes this a comfortable place for my friends to gather.
The owners, Celina and Kok are very hospitable & have very friendly and helpful staff.
The Drink list: First time in my life that I came across MOA champagne beer and Hitachino Japanese beer. The MOA NOIR is to die for and Hitachino RED RICE has a lovely colour and fragrant scent. Their wines list changes quarterly for the customers to have a pleasant surprise every visit. :)
The Food: Mostly gastrobar-made, created by Celina and Kok, I can't forget the Wing Fries. They have the heart to half the wings for easy consumtion and presented in like fries. Uber thoughtful of 'em to do that. The Celina's Pie Tee is so different from the traditional ones that we used to have. Old style Pie Tee mostly full of white raddish and vege. But Celina's Pie Tee has pork, shrimps, bamboo shoots and some things that weren't revealed to me. Heh. Surprise me once again~ Heard that they come out with special dishes all the time, I just can't wait to go back and try.
The Event space(2nd level): Retro furnitures and high pitched ceiling able to cater to ard 40 pax. An Instrumental Band was playing so after my dinner, I went up with my friends and my drink of course, to listen to the melody and continue my heart-warming night out.
I must say Celina's Gastro Bar is definitely the kind of place for people lookin for an uniquely pleasant experience.

Such a good find!
02 Jan 2012The menu is an interesting collection of bar food, not the usual run-of-the mill types. My favourites are definitely the Chicken Wing Fries, Korean Kimchi Cucumbers, Chicken Liver Pate and Laksa Pasta etc.
But what draws me back time and time again is the variety of craft beers and ciders. The piping hot Wing Fries and the chilled Kimchi Cucumber go perfectly with cold, crisp beers like Archipelago’s Summer Ale. Although my favourites are definitely the range of Hitachino Nest Beers. Sweet Stout and Red Rice are a must try!
