CHONG PANG NASI LEMAK
Sep 2, 2007Chong Pang Nasi Lemak, hidden somewhere in Sembawang-Yishun. lols, nice nasi lemak.
Food
quite a wide range of choices to choose from, the rice is deliciously coconut smelling, the dishes are warm and fresh. Portions are not stingy.
the boyfriend insist i must add (cos i forgot to): the CHICKEN WING and TEH CINO.
Beverage
all that they have is what other coffee shops are offering.
Ambience
well, it's just like a coffee shop totally filled with people during peak hours. This place is good for "friends-who-cannot-seem-to-laugh-softly-but-you-still-love-them" gatherings.
Value
it's quite worth it, considering the good food you're eating. good money for good food.
Service
not much service tho, besides the ever-smiling people behind the counter, serving you the best they can.
there's another one at VIVO @ Food Republic, but that one is overpriced and the food are not as warm and crispy as the one at Chong Pang.Must Tries
Nasi Lemak duh, oh and the crispy Ikan Bilis, CHICKEN WING, TEH CINO
I also recommend this place for

Overhyped Nasi Lemak
May 13, 2008Food/ Beverage
The food is normal, much to my dismay as I have heard many good things about this stall. The nasi lemak rice isn't as fragrant as it suppose to be, there are also some lumps in the rice. The accompanying dishes are generally above the standards of most normal hawker centre nasi lemaks, but it is no where near good to the point that will demand my return. Beverages are limited to normal coffee shop drinks and I had better coffees at coffee shops.
Ambience
Not much of an ambience I suppose. Old coffee shop, tables were not cleared frequently enough. It is not air conditioned and the fans aren't exactly very cooling. The typical coffee shop chatter could most likely be heard while you dine.
Value
The food is slightly more expensive than those that you would find in hawker centres. Fair, but not of incredible value
Service
I do not think I was in anyway served much. So I shall leave it as N/A
I must say that this stall has fair my expectations of it. Perhaps it was the presumption that the nasi lemak would be fantastic that made me gave it a poor review. I would advise readers to not have their hopes too high, lest they end up like me, disappointed.Must Tries

Review for Chong Pang Nasi Lemak ( Near Drive-In McDonald Sembawang Road)
Oct 25, 2009I have been living in yishun for past 20 over yrs and nasi lemak has been one of my fav food regardless for breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper.... yummy.... i love the chicken wings and the eggs there as they're all quite fresh and taste great.... they have this ingredient called "mei ren yu" which is crunchy and nice.... i love to order rice with chicken wing, eggs and otah....they have two types of otah mainly the thin and the thicker version one...both are good... maybe one bad thing about the place will be the lack of parking lots when there's really alot of people there....might have to park a distance away at the private residence area....other than that...i think the place's great and an icon for Chong Pang Nasi Lemak.... =)Must Tries
