Romantic Dining by the Beach

http://www.musingsofarabbit.com/2014/11/coastes-siloso-beach.html

Great place to chill! Can enjoy the good food and beer after swimming at the beach or you can sit by the coast to enjoy the sea breeze. It is a totally different experience altogether :)

Food served was decent but it was a little humid sitting at the open area due to Singapore's climate.

Nice bar on the beach

http://melodyju.wordpress.com/2014/10/26/singapore-coastes-sunset-dinner-on-the-beach/

Went there for a sunset dinner, just on the beach and have incredibley awesome view of the ocean and sunset. Food was not bad, service is blur. Anyway, nice place to go in Sentosa.

unbearable service

One of my rudest dining experiences in my five years living in Singapore. I'll be amazed if they charge 'service' tax. I think my experience specially boiled down to one particular waitress who was literally shouting excuse mes and acting totally imperious. We had gone as a group of seven and the food was average , nothing to write home about. Mostly big servings for the price. When I commented on on the bad pushy  service they made us wait almost fourty five minutes more for the desert which was thankfully better than main course. Bad experience. Lesson learnt would not be returning ever :0

A quiet brunch on sentosa

Didn’t think it was possible? Coastes s the quiet, chill, affordable brunch venue on Pulau Blakang Mati. We love that it has everything a beachfront eatery should – chilled atmosphere; white (imported) sand; half-weathered, half-new-coat-of-paint furniture; and an all-day breakfast menu (another one-up on Tanjong Beach Club). While the breakfast selection isn’t vast, it satisfies: fresh scones served with jam, cream and strawberries ($10), croissant with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, avocadoes and tomatoes ($14) and an American/English breakfast that has the works ($20). Good Ambience, lacking some food oomph

Coastes is located along Siloso Beach. It is not difficult to spot the blue and white themed seaside bar and restaurant amidst the other beach bars and restaurants.

We arrived there in the early evening for a meal and so there wasn't many patrons around. The majority seating area is opening air with rustic-feel benches and tables. I like the ambience which is pretty relaxing with the sea a stone's throw away. There are also several trees around that provide a tinge of greenery.

The concept of Coastes is that you will order your food at the counter yourself. The kitchen can be seen through a glass pane. I like the sight of cooks in the kitchen preparing the food as t makes me feel assured that the food is prepared and served fresh. It's really a kind of assurance.

All in all, I would say that Coastes has a nice ambience by the beach of Siloso. A great place to get a drink, lie on a sunbed and chill with a couple of friends. But, for the food solely, I don't think it's worth it to come all the way into Sentosa. The thing that was irritating were the flies around towards the end of the meal. Other than that, if you're in the area no harm trying out the food!

I would love to visit this place to have a tan on the sunbeds of Coastes with a beer in hand.
