Fun and lively italian place

I frequent club street often and this was the first time I tried cuginis. My hubby and I ordered the antipasto misto, which was a giant plate of cold cuts and cheese with olives, and the club 87 pizza. Food was so good! I ordered a strawberry margarita and the hubby had a glass of wine. The margarita was nice. You can taste the alcohol and it came with a pretty strawberry cut into the shape of a flower. Didn’t see a bar at the kitchen though. Would have been interesting to see my drink being made. We didn’t order desserts as we were not very hungry but the table next to ours ordered a chocolate lava caked which looked very good. Will be back to try their desserts J

The food was good. Interior very simple. The noise level unbearable. Impossible to speak with your partner. Taking everything into consideration it is overpriced.

Very impressive stock of wine here at cuginis. So many choices! A Caucasian man whom I assume is one of the owners recommended a cabernet sauvignon from Tuscany. Robust and lingering, it was paired very well with our mains. Speaking of mains: my date had the lamb while I had the beef tenderloin. The lamb was good, there was no off-putting smell. The beef was also cooked perfectly and pink in the middle. I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Will definitely be back.  I spent about $80/ person.
