Chai Chee is not a place a Westerner from Jurong would travel for food but being a foodie, we did.
Food: We tried the recommended crab in soy sauce with Korean vermicelli, wok bbqed squid, tempura prawns and french beans, assam fish head. We added a "lai bai" vegetable. The tastiest dishes were the "lai bai" sauteed in garlic, the tempura prawns and french beans. I would pass on the crabs and the squid. Next time, I would order tempura style French beans only, without the prawns.
Value: It's low priced food though, $80 for 4 pax. The assam fish was on promotion at $13 per serving, fish was kinda fishy for me, but fresh.
Service: It's a busy Friday but service was polite, quick and friendly, made better by Alvin, the co-owner of the busienss.
Ambience: It's a coffee shop so dress down.
