Unless u are really desperate......
Jul 4, 2009Was at Jurong point with my aunt and cousin over the weekend and it was indeed very crowded...so looked for a place that's got a much lesser crowd as most food joints are packed to the brim....and some even having long queues...Since I've not tried Fig & Olive...
Finally settled down and ordered the following :
1) Bruschetta with tomatos : Don't bother as you will be sorely disappointed !
2) Mushroom soup : Comparable to Campbell's...but I prefer the later..
3) Grilled fish with mushroom sauce with olive rice : Decent but nothing fantastic
4) Grilled chicken with pasta : A big flop & served cold
5) Fish & chips with cheese : Decent
6) Seafood platter : Was told it's one of the worst seafood platter ever...
7) An assortment of soft drinks
I think u are better off waiting in line at a more popular food outlet with a longer queue at Jurong Point...as I'm sure any restaurant will easily give u a better taste and value anytime of the day !Must Tries
Don't even bother.....

To A Sweet Meal At Fig & Olive’s
Sep 19, 2009As recommended by the restaurant manager, I ordered the Chicken Pesto Carbonara. A very decent portion was served comprising of grilled chicken topped with a heavy mix of blended tomatoes and melted cheese, spaghetti with a ladleful of a slightly sweet mushroom sauce and a very tender portion of boiled potatoes which went excellently with the mayonnaise.
The grilled chicken alone was unfortunately a little dry, and not bursting with juices as to what I expected.
I also ordered the Chicken Mango Chutney Cold Sandwich, another of the establishment’s specialties. However, I found the sandwich to be a little sweet, which might be a delight if you have a sweet tooth with that crave for chicken bits. There was a delicate olive oil fragrance throughout and it was not too salty. What I would consider a well balanced taste spread if not for that sugary feel.
