Well, this place will always be special.I got married here! An intimate dinner with 80 of our family and friends. The nature, food and service all added their magical touches! One couldn't ask for more.
My guests couldn't stop raving about the food ! The starter of Tuna Tataki was fresh and tasted delicate. Followed by a fragrant blue swimmer crab bisque. The main was 250 days aged Angus tenderlion. It was tender and juicy! The dessert was drop dead yummy! Chocolate lava cake! The hot molten chocolate was decadent without being too rich. I had guests that ate 3 portions! All the food had Asian touches and were downed with champagne and wine! All 80 bottles!
That was 2 years ago now. Their food still impressive, the ambience still magical and the service still as impeccable. (They actually remembered me and my partner and offered us a glass of complimentary champagne each!).
Nothing beats surrounded in nature and having a nice meal with your love one. Both starry eyed! Magical!
All the meats were cold. The vegetables were overdone and cold. The gravy was cold. Will never visit again. This was a company not interested in the customer but just inflated prices for one day in the year. It was a truly horrible experience for the three of us, and especially for my 77 year old mother in law who had journied especially to be with us.
we left and went to muddy Murphy's and had a fabulous meal for the price we paid for one person at the Halia.
