Nice place to hang out and have a few tacos

There were two places I used to go to in Boat Quay for Mexican food depending on what I felt like having: El Rocho's and here. Sadly, El Rocho's has now closed due to the increased rent cost on Circular Road as the neighborhood becomes more popular (I pray that they reopen somewhere), so that leaves me with Hombre Cantina. Nothing wrong with the food here. The tacos (3 for $15), burritos, quesadillas, and drinks are all good and the service is friendly and welcoming. I particularly like their fish taco. I also like that the menu items can be had the way you want them, with a wide choice of meats, sauces, and extras. It's a nice place to have a decent meal, a drink or two, and watch the people go by.

Mex food + margaritas + river view = I love Hombre Cantina

I just about gave up on finding really good fish tacos in Singapore.  Then the lord delivered Hombre Cantina. Simply the best in town in my opinion.

The river view and seating is one of the highlights of this place.  It's a great space to kick back and relax with friends over Mexican comfort food and beers/margaritas.

They also have a really good lunch special set.  You can get a burrito, chips, and a drink for a reasonable set price.  I also liked how the servers smiled and seemed interested in making sure I was satisfied.
