I just about gave up on finding really good fish tacos in Singapore. Then the lord delivered Hombre Cantina. Simply the best in town in my opinion.
The river view and seating is one of the highlights of this place. It's a great space to kick back and relax with friends over Mexican comfort food and beers/margaritas.
They also have a really good lunch special set. You can get a burrito, chips, and a drink for a reasonable set price. I also liked how the servers smiled and seemed interested in making sure I was satisfied.
If you are after a lunch time snack or a quick pre event/night out pitstop would thoroughly recommend. Not a fan of the touristy boat quay but it is front and central location wise. Food is very tasty - think street food but reasonably authentic. Served with an ice cold corona it hits the mark! Have been back here 3 times in 2 days and will continue to do so. Service is not the best but you're not paying for that. It's good value too.
