Tried the recommended dishes. Crab bisque: underseasoned. Orange, mushy glop with frozen crab shreds. Served with thinly buttered supposed-to-be garlic bread Tomyum Linguine: linguine done al dente. Tomato- based Sauce has light tomyum flavor & too sweet. One mussel, a few pieces of squid, two prawns, and that's it Cordon bleu: mac & cheese side hidden under aragula & ricket shreds. Chicken slightly charred. Drizzled with nacho cheese. Stuffed with more nacho cheese. Some chopped bacon. Quite sickening after 3 mouthfuls. Oh yes, they ran out of salads and durian lava cake Decided to skip gelato cos soup & mains were huge letdowns

I consider ice edge to be one of the very decent cafes at the Hougang/Sengkang/Punggol area, especially so if you are looking for one that is near a MRT station. This cafe will always be on my mind if I am having my meal in this area and is looking for a good place to chill out and to have dessert,
My favourite items from Ice edge’s menu -their handcrafted ice-cream. Ice Edge offers a decent variety of flavours like Lychee Martini, Salted egg yolk, Tiramisu, Rum & Raisins, Belgium Chocolate, Baileys, Champagne Vanilla, Pistachio, Snickers, but my favourite? It’s their Rocher and Mao Shan Wang Durian.
The pizzas we tried were uninspiring, and the pasta was overcooked and limp. Waffles were alright, if a bit bland. Be prepared to wait for it though. Side orders (fried calamari; chicken wings) were redolent with the smell of re-used oil...not quite my cup of tea! Pretty pricey for cafe fare of this standard.
I suppose it is an OK place to hang out at if you have a couple of hours to spare. But it is not somewhere I would recommend if you like good food. Nevertheless the teens that come here with their laptops seem to like it well enough.
I live less than 1km away from here but I will not be back.
Ice edge cafe is one of the decent waffles place near the north east area. We would always go there for waffles but there comes a tough part where you would have to choose the flavours of the gelato. I would have to be specific as this place does not serve ice cream but gelato. What is the difference ? The fat content! Gelato is a much healthier choice as compared to ice cream. Here you could choose from a whole lot of flavours from fruits to chocolates to liquor favoured. If you are a durian lover, be sure to try the mao Shan wang gelato ! If you do not have a sweet tooth, you could tty the cordon bleu. One of my friends just keeps coming back for it

Try the squid. Very chewy and refreshing. Nice dressing and outlook as well. Durian ice cream is perfect.
