Fantastic food

Absolutely fantastic.

Great tasting food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. We ate:

Mama Mia Mutton
Chicken Vindaloo
Garlic Naan
Onion Bhajiyas

The full meal came to a decent price given the great food and time we had. Well worth a try!

Excellent Preparations

Indian Curry House is one of my recent discoveries of the Siglap area. The area is so crowded with restaurants, we always end up going to our regular places.

Me and few of my friends went for dinner the other day and we were fully satisfied with the service and preparation.

We ordered Chicken 65 and Paneer Tikka Honey Mustard, both of them we fantanstic with the Paneer Tikka having this very interesting sweet salty spicy flavour because of the honey.

For the main course we went for Palak Paneer, Mutton Rogan Josh, Fish Koliwada, Dal Makhni and Mix Vegetable.

The palak paneer was excellent with nice soft white paneer pieces and the gravy tasted like spinach and not heavy spiced green colored curry.

Mutton was equally appreciated for its tender and spicy edge. The fish turned out to be quite spicy for my Chinese friends, so you can try the milder version if you don't like too much spice.

Dal was excellent, nice thick and creamy. The way dal makhni should be. Mix vegetable was average.

The naans were nice, we ordered the basket and it comes with 4 different varieties so we could try different types.

Overall nice place to get decent Indian food in the east.

Great Curry

I've eaten in a few times and ordered delivery many more. The food is great with some lovely dishes to choose from. Ambiance in the restaurant is fine, not too bright, not too dark and service is good. Their home delivery service is also good.

Portion size is on the smallish side, but the food is so tasty that I can't really complain about that.

Fish Head Curry in Bukit Timah

So far, Bukit Timah missed a restaurant serving authentic Indian food. Today we had been to this new restaurant in 6th avenue center. The food was excellent and ambience was also good. We also came to know about their other branches in Siglap & Expo.

We had Fish Head Curry, Mutton Mama Mia, Butter Chicken, Naans & Basmati Rice for main course. The Fish head curry was tangy and equally spicy, we felt the taste was much better than ones in Race Course Road. Mutton Mama Mia was served on a Hot Plate and the meat was very tender and fresh. Butter Chicken tasted like something which I tasted in Delhi during one of my trips.

They are running a National Day Special with Diners where you get 45% discount the whole month! Good way to Celebrate National Day. This is not the last time we will go there.. All in all, value for money, quality fare near home.
