Thirsty Go Where

This is not a food write up but a very sober rant of an 'alcoholic' We went there for the special Johnnie Walker Chinese New Year cocktail 'Liquid Luck' (for the month of February only) Gold Label Reserve with zesty orange flavours of Grand Marnier topped with Sherry and served in a tall Martini glass. The cocktail certainly packs a punch, the famed whisky dominated the cocktail (not that we are not complaining) we enjoyed the cocktail more than we thought we would. This is not the place for you if you want to order boring old beer or wine. The 24 cocktails divided in 3 categories Classics, Forgotten Classics, Modern Twists are the real stars in this establishment. If possible I highly recommend sitting by the bar to watch the mixologists meticulously prepare every cocktail with style and finesse. We ordered 2 more cocktails Blood and Sand (a bitter concoction that taste a whole lot like medication but strangely not entirely unpleasant) Negroni (a bitter gin based cocktail with an orange accent) They were both delicious. Other than an annoying loud woman yapping away, our experience at jigger & pony was a very pleasant one. A great place to unwind after a hard day in the office. p/s do keep a look out for a handsome Japanese mixologist with healthy glowing skin behind the bar.
