This place is definitely a landmark founded in 1987 and since then Jumbo have established several branches in Singapore. The branch at East Coast Seafood Centre is one of the most popular with its views out to the sea and dining outside or inside.  This is a very big restaurant with many servers and is also very popular but everyone seems to get a seat.  Great for two people or twenty people.  Make a reservation first.

The locals tell me the food quality is probably better elsewhere.  It is also a bit on the pricey side, but you are paying for ambience.  Service is fairly mechanical and it is good to have someone in the group who speaks Chinese.  I can suggest the Mee Gorang, the spicy fried noodles.  Drunken Prawns are worth the adventure.  The Chilli Crabs are the speciality but overrated. In summary, a great location to go with friends or business colleagues and watch the big ships out at sea and enjoy the evening away.

Must tries: drunken prawns

I also recommend this place for:
After Work, Ala Carte, Alfresco/Outdoor Dining, Business Dining
