    Was attracted to the "FREE FLOW" of decent ice-cream offering.

    I thought if the food sucks, me and my children would still be able to enjoy the simple dessert.  For the low prices, I was expecting below average food and with the crowd, I thought the service standard would be bad too.

    However, I was wrong! The food though took a long time to come due to the crowd, the kids had fun making floats for themselves first. Being my first time there, the staff took time to explain to me about the "Hows and Whats" for the menu.

    The food was decent for the price. Don't expect high quality stuff, just think fast food, and enjoy the free flow of drinks and ice-cream.

    Go after peak hours. The queue for ice-cream and drinks would be much shorter.

    A nice place to have a cuppa and ice-cream if not for the food ; )

    I know this is a weird considering the many items they have on the menu, but my argument is that they are all so similar that it really is Hobson's choice. They're just different permutations of very limited food choices like fried chicken, spicy chicken, herbal chicken, teriyaki chicken... You get my drift.

    You do get free-flow drinks (e.g. coffee, soft drinks) and ice-cream, but it's all a bit gimmicky to me and the long queues are off-putting.

    I've been there a couple of time and if I am around Dhoby Ghaut area, I will check this place out. They have a quite a few value for money set meal that starts from $5.90+ onwards which comes with free flow of drinks (hot and cold drinks) and ice cream.

    I ordered fish nugget noodles and spicy chicken set meal. The fish nuggets taste pretty good. crisy on the outside, tasty on the inside. spicy chicken was tender and favourful too.

    Not so much of a service but food serve pretty fast & hot. Most time you can just go get the drinks & ice cream yourself.

    Was there on a Friday night, and no worries about seats.. plenty of it. Most patrons looked young and comprises of students and young working adults and occasional tourist.

    The menu is not extensive but it is indeed price friendly. Set meals comes with free-flow of ice-cream and drinks. Drinks can choose from soft-drinks, ice-lemon tea and fruit punch syrup plus there's a machine that spews out coffee, hot choc, cappucino those kind. The cheapest set meal is the gyoza set at $5.90++ only. Comes with rice, miso soup and kimchi. I ordered the spicy chicken set at $6.90++. Quite alot of meat and spicy indeed!

    As a first timer, had a difficult time finding the free-flow area as I was seated at a far section. So I was carrying my ice-cream cup and drinks cup walking around looking silly.

    Otherwise, the bill is to be paid within 1 hour of the issue (printed on the bill).

    Ambience wise is okay, food wise is okay also..but concept and price is simply just the best!!!

    why? = from just $6.30 nett onwards this is what u will get:

    1= main course

    2= small prickle

    3= miso soup

    4= FREE FLOW DRINKS (mocha/soft drinks/syrup etc)

    5= FREE FLOW ICE CREAM (6 flavours)

    6= Wireless connection (if u need to use com)

    7= Charging socket for as long as u want throughout your stay!

    wow! so much better than any fast food place for study and work matters..especially the ice cream, heard from some customers that the quality is not very good, but i can easily finish up to 5 bowls of 3 scoops man..what a glutton! but still worth for just $6.30 nett onwards

    Try it out guys!

    My son and I went to Just Acia for dinner on Monday night. I had eaten there once before and I thought it was a really good deal. For about $15 or so (depending on which set you order), you get miso soup, a main dish, a side dish, rice, free flow drinks and free flow ice cream.

    The food is an amalgamation of all Oriental cuisine - Korean, Japanese and Chinese. My favourits is probably the spicy chicken set,which is actually quite spicy, as opposed to those I have had in other Korean stalls which are basically just red coloured.

    Also good are the potstickers (dumplings), bulgogi beef and the ramen noodles. The portion sizes are good and my nine-year old really enjoyed the free flow ice cream. If we weren't in so much of a rush, he might have hurt them where ice cream profit was concerned :)

    Service was pretty prompt too. We were handed menus almost as soon as we sat down, and were eating within 10 mins of arrival.

    My only gripe is the less than conducive dining ambience. Usually poulated with large groups of teens or young adults, it can get a bit loud at times. We were seated next to a group of 6 teenage boys playing cards. Not fun.

    Also, I don't understand why there are separate payments counters for nets and credit card. Is it really that expensive to have both at one location? Or better yet, remove one cashier, so we don't get discombobulated by the dual location thing.

    Just a suggestion.

    Overall, my advice is go. Try it out. It's not authentic, but its tasty and good value for money.

    Must tries: spicy chicken set, dumplings, beef bulgogi

    Where else can you get free flow of drinks n desserts with a set lunch at $5.90+ in the middle of orchard?

    They have the fried chicken chop with miso soup and pickled cabbage with free flow of drinks n ice cream for $5.90+ and fried salmon, pork cutlet or cooked dory fillet set for $7.50+. That is not bad.

    However, I came once with my boi on Sunday, and they don't have the cheap sets. only those featured in the menu which starts at about $11.90. In all honestly, I won't eat there for $11.90 as a set cos I know I can eat at Jack's place or CArl's Jnr abeit no free flow but the quality is there.

    However, for a quick work lunch or a long eat-your-fill-of-ice-cream lunch, it's a good alternative. Away from the mad hectic pace of Raffles Place. :)

    This is probably one of the worse services i had at the Just Acia outlet in Dhoby Ghaut.

    One of the female staff have forgotten to key my brother's order into the system, when he came up to her for the first time. There which after, we had to wait for more than 15 minutes, with no staff attending to us.

    By the second time that my brother came up to her again, she apologized and immediately brought the ice-cream cup and a drinking glass to our table.

    Having to wait in vain, my brother have requested for his order of a deep fried chicken set to be cancelled. Feeling fustraded and disappointed, we went to the counter to make our payment at the counter and made our concern notified to the assistant manager.

    At first, the assistant manager just took a glimpse at the feedback form and place it one side, as he keyed in order as a debit card payment without asking.

    Therefore, My mother have to inform him that she would like to have the payment to be done using nets. He immediately apologized and brought us to yet another counter. Once we were at that counter, he enquired with my mother that would she like the payment to be made be Masters or Nets.

    Upon hearing that, my mother felt ignored by the assistant manager and stated very clearly that she would like to have the pay using Nets.

    Having this happening, I felt enraged as this was a family dinner in celebrations for my brother's coming birthday. Apologizing was of no further need, as we, the customers was ignore by your staffs. I have rebuked at the apology, that the female staff gave when she was at that counter then, stating that "there is no point of saying sorry, over things that have been done.

    To further fueling my anger, the assistant manager gave us a $6 discount voucher for our next dine-in. I threw it back to the counter and claimed that My family and I would never come back to such a resturant with bad service attitude.

    1. Management Hi Wilson, As we are an innovative concept offering free-flow drinks and ice cream, now with soft serve ice cream as our free-flow addition, our crowd unfailingly returns with our loyal customer base and with referrals, our restaurant is also bustling with customers. On behalf of Just Acia, I sincerely apologise on the late reply and we really seek your kind understanding. The lunch and dinner crowd comprise mainly of families, working executives and school children. Thus, we may have really overlooked your ordering chit. We hope on your next visit, our service will be at a high standard to exceed customers' expectation. Do give us another opportunity to show you our service level. It's our forte to balance good food quality at affordable prices, with good customer service quality. Hope to see you patronizing Just Acia at any of our outlets again. a friend suggested the place for dinner last weekend and so the 3 of us trotted down to douby gaut exchange in search of the place.

    at first i thought it was quite small coz of the seating area. till when we walked right till the end did i realize that the whole stretch of 'common space' belonged to them. ie. the seating capacity could easily fit up to 50 pax! =D

    there were booth seats and more secluded tables. but the not so lucky us were sitting in the middle of nowhere. not next to a wall or anything. juz smack in the center where the passerbys can easily peer at you while you eat. thank god the place's more ulu in a way. less human traffic. =D

    the 3 of us went for set meals of different cuisines. we had the tom yam set. the korean styled beef set. and soft shell crab set. an an additional order of spring rolls to share.

    good thing about the set was that the drinks were free flow. it's self help at the counter. there's cappucino. coffee. soft drinks. iced peach tea. =D

    the tom yam set came with rice and some small sides (one of which after rounds of tasting which we concluded to be fried chicken skin with mayo). the tom yam came in a big bowl and the smell of lemongrass was waaaay strong. personal preference: i don't like lemongrass. =X but the soup was not too bad and spicy enough. =D

    the beef set was ok. huge helping of beef. (although not on a hotplate) but still as good. served with rice and miso soup. and the same side of chicken skin. (which i thought was something different. and it tasted good la. =D sinful sinful!)

    the soft shell crab wasn't too bad either. it won't be as fantastic as those jap restaurants. but better than most foodcourts' standards. =D and it came with rice. miso soup. chawanmushi. and the same side. =D

    the pring rolls were kinda puny. but alright la.

    dessert was free flow as well. which was ice cream! =D magnolia ice cream la. choices range from mango. chocolate. vanilla. and flavours of the day. heng we got had yam. strawberry and pistachio almond on that day. =D i like the mango and yam the best. =D

    and it was a good place to chill out! the service staff juz takes the order slips. serves the food. and then left us alone. so we spent 4 hours plus sitting there and catching up over the drinks and ice cream. =D

    a definite value for money eatery! =D

    Must tries: set meals

    I never thought I could find such a value-for-money place to eat in the heart of the city.

    A place located not only in town and accessible (located at Dhoby Ghaut MRT), it has enough space to fit small or big groups. What's another plus point that it is relatively an unknown eating place, so it is quiet and cosy (at least for now).

    The range of food offered are mainly asian dishes but there's quite a fair variety to choose from local delights to japanese. Another plus point is the price!

    I ordered a curry chicken set meal for $8.90 which includes free flow of drinks and ice-cream!!! Awesome isn't??? =p

    To top my dining experience there, the service was equally good. The waitress who was clearing our table was asking us how our meal was if it was good or not good.

    You say good or not? I say Just Acia is just awesome =)
