Super delicious

The cupcakes they made were not stingy in size! I had 6 cupcakes and it filled my family of 6. The earl grey highly recommended!

I was hunting for a bakery to purchase a birthday cake for my upcoming 21st birthday and I chanced upon Kreme Corture bakery at a flea. I bought their balsamic strawberry cupcakes and I must say that they did taste good. When I chanced upon their instagram I was delighted to see that they made cakes too. Hence I emailed them inquiring on the process to customize a cake. I was 98% ready to invest my money in this bakery. HOWEVER, when I was ready to discuss with them the customization of my cake. THE WHOLE SITUATION FELL APART. Truth to be told, it was a last minute decision for me to confirm a date and time with them via sms and email. The owners of the bakery said it was alright to meet up at this particular day and time. After much consideration, I decided to go ahead with it even though they gave me a very awkward timing to be met with. They asked me to head down to their bakery in Joo Chiat at 7pm. HOWEVER, WHEN I REACHED THERE, THEIR SHUTTERS WERE CLOSED AND NOBODY WAS THERE DESPITE THEM TELLING ME THAT THEY WOULD MEET ME AT THAT TIME AND PLACE. For those of you who have never been to Joo Chiat, it is more accessible by car with its winding roads and inconvenient area. However, I had no car of my own thus I had to make my way there via public transport. I thought to myself maybe I should give them some time to open the shutters as I had arrived there somewhat earlier then the agreed time. I decided to wait patiently.. 7pm struck, I walked back to their shop and their shutters still closed. I decided okay, maybe they are still busy with something.. 7.15pm. By this time I was getting very VERY frustrated with it. I decided to sms the bakers and asked if they still wanted to continue with the meeting. NO REPLY. I decided to give them some more time and I waited till 7.30pm. By this time, THERE WAS STILL NO REPLY, SHUTTERS CLOSED AND NO SIGHT OF THEM AT ALL. I went to their instagram and I saw that they were setting up dessert tables for a well-known blogger. The thing is I am not at all angry with the fact that there is an event before meeting me. RATHER I AM MAD AT THE FACT THAT THEY GAVE EMPTY PROMISES AND STOOD ME UP KNOWING THE FACT THAT THEY COULD NOT EVEN MAKE IT FOR THE MEET-UP. SO IN THE FIRST PLACE KREME COUTURE BAKERY, KNOW YOUR LIMITS. DO NOT GIVE FALSE HOPE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS SAYING YOU CAN MAKE IT. AND THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS TO SMS ME IN ADVANCE SAYING THAT YOU CANNOT MAKE IT. AND.. A day has already passed and still no reply, no apology given to me. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED BY YOUR ATTITUDE.

Walked into four-month old cupcakery @kremecouturebakery on Joo Chiat Road and were spoilt for choice. Flavours included balsamic strawberry ($3.80) and Thai milk tea ($3.50) . Settled for the chocolate flavoured, not just regular chocolate, this one came painted with gold dust. Verdict? Moist, and delish.
