Signature Mille Crepes

Pictures/Review at http://dinnerndesserts.blogspot.sg/2015/03/soupstocktokyo-ladym.html

The interior of Lady M was exceedingly posh and clean, which really enticed me to dine-in at the store. The signature mille crepes taste like crepes plus creme, but the combination was perfect. Will definitely be heading there again soon to try the green tea mille crepes!

Finally got the chance to try out Lady M – who are best known for their Mille Crêpe cake. Mille Crepes are probably ranked my 2nd favorite dessert (after molten lava cake!) Definitely something I looked forward to trying!

I really like the taste of the Lady M Original Mille Crepe. So very light and fluffy, you won’t tire of the cream even if you were to eat the entire piece on your own. This is coming from someone who hates cream. The crepe layers and cream are done very evenly and it definitely shows the skill of the pastry chef.

Green Tea Mille Crepe Cake
($8.50). Layers of buttery flaky crepes were coated with green tea mousse. The mousse was so soft and it sticks to the fork. Loved how it was not overly rich or sweet, and also not overly bitter. Combined with the flaky milky layers of crepe, this was a well balanced dessert.

It's other cousins were less memorable for me. They include the plain vanilla mille crepe which was average, buttery and had a caramelized top. Each layer tasted similar - too milky for my liking and soon I was tired of it. The banana mille feuille had a piece of small banana in the middle, which was engulfed by layers of fattening whipped cream which made me cringe.
