think this place has closed down. what a waste, the food was very good, one of the best French restaurants, in my opinion. I'll never forget my memorable experience with Les Brasseries.

Quick Lunch Fanatic

A cozy establishment tucked away at the junction of Club Street & Mohd Ali Lane.

We were cruising along Club Street and a Big bright red logo at the junction Mohd Ali Lane caught our eyes and lure us in one afternoon. It was a cozy and subtle ambience, intimate place for lover's nite out dining.

We ordered 3 set lunches @ $25 per person and I must say for the quality of the food - it's value for money.

We had 3 different starters:-

1. Salmon Gravadlax, Classic Condiments ~ thinly sliced and cured to perfection...

2. Salad of Vine Tomato. Zucchini. Crisp Fennel, Fresh Herbs & Balsamic Olive Oil ~ the sweetness of the vine tomato was just too refreshing.

3. Soup of the day ~ Prawn Bisque ~ simple bisque showcases the sweet, delicate flavour and texture of the prawn.

Three different Mains:-

1. Duck Confit served with Lentil Stew and some greens. The salt-cured duck was so tasty especially the crisp on the skin - we must say it’s sinfully good...

2. Pan-seared Salmon Fillet ~ this was highly recommended by one of the lady server claiming it is one of the favourite among diners ~ the texture of the moist salmon simply melts in your mouth.

3. Char-grilled Rib-eye Steak was grilled to our perfection our required doneness, served with red wine reduction.

The dessert of the day was a refreshing watermelon in cubes with sorbet, a perfect ending for a set meal.

The overall service was good. The servers were warm and friendly.

We adjourned to the lounge bar, the cosier part of the restaurant with its comfy couches for a drink after our meal. Great place to unwind especially after a meal.

Must Tries: King Salmon, Duck Confit

Food, as it should be

A striking red signboard catches the eye of all that pass by.

Descend down the stairs into the chillout bar with TV screen for your viewing pleasure. Great to unwind before a meal - have a drink or two and a happ buzz develops because, they DO NOT SCRIMP on the alcohol. You get what you pay for.

Buzzing happily, you proceed to the restaurant area where it is cozy and elegant. You pass by a counter where the premium meats, such as the Wagyu and you can tell that it is gonna be good because the freshness of the meat is SO OBVIOUS. No mystery meat served here!

I ordered the Foie Gras, a King Salmon steak and of course, the Wagyu steak.

Smooth and creamy, the Foie Gras was great, but not one of the best i have had because my personal preference was to have it more crisp.

My sister had the Salmon steak and she loved and lapped every single bite of it. Very fresh, very good. The sauce complemented it completely and the portion for the price was fabulous.

In came my steak about 5 mins later. I asked for abt 1/2 inch thick - you can actually deceide how much you want, and they will cut it for you.

It was nicely marbled and melted in my mouth. One word - DIVINE. I must say that the price paid was worth it. For those who love steak and have not had a Wagyu, this is the BEST place for you to splurge on your tastebuds.

I know i will go back again.... and this time round, perhaps leave some space for dessert was well.

PS: It might get a little cold in there, so a shawl / jacket would make your meal more enjoyable.

Happy Eating everyone!

Yes, our Premium Meat Counter is one of the highlighted features of the quality produce served.

2. Australian Chilled Baby Lamb Rack – the lamb received only the best natural supplementary feed, which enables consistent quality produce.

3. USA Berkshire Kurobuta Pork – distinguished itself as a cut above the rest for meat quality. It is naturally tender, juicy and tasty.

High Noon

Nothing much to do I made my way to China Town on Sunday, which is traffic wise usually a breeze beside those Tri-shawk Uncles with Tourist customers on a Suicide Mission....or cheating young Punk Ang Moh Customers cheating on Uncle - depends how you look at it.
I turned my vehicle into Club Street..parked it anywhere becos there where no other cars...I mean at all!
I felt like being part of the Movie High Noon, looking out for some Cowboys trying to challenge me with a hand Gun, but no I was alone...very alone...on Club Street...on Sunday High Noon.
Turning where the Big red Sign of Les Brasserie is I stopped, not only with the intention of having a cold brew (that is what Brasseries have been famous for in History, beside of Homecooked great dishes...)...but i was also hungysogowhere? Upps...it was closed on the Sunday, which makes sense as I was the only Cowboy, ehh Hitmen around High Noon in Club Street...what to say? I shall return to gusto the menu, perhaps over a Lunch one of these days in the week...

Must Tries: Business lunch 3-cours for $ 25??

A Gem Uncovered

A quaint and cosy establishment tucked away in Club Street, this place is truly a gem uncovered. Les Brasseries serves up a great European dining experience, and I give it two thumbs up!

FOOD/BEVERAGE - I ordered the Fillet of Salmon with Spinach - Celeriac Mousseline and Chicken Jus ($28). The salmon was done just right, tender and not too overcooked as several other places normally do. The salmon melted in my mouth, and it was amazingly fresh which made the experience even more wonderful. I would have prefered a stronger flavor, but other than that, there's no major complaints from me.

My friend ordered the Oven-roasted Rack of Baby Lamb, Green Peppercorn -Seasonal Vegetables and Lamb Jus ($34). I truly fell in love with it, and if the salmon was good, the lamb was much better! There was none of that horrible stench that you often find when it comes to lamb, and the taste of the lamb in my mouth was absolutely divine.

For desserts, we ordered the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake with Raspberries and Vanilla Ice Cream ($12), Apple Tart Tartin with Vanilla Ice Cream ($12) and Refreshing Seasonal Fruits in Passionfruit-Mint Cocktail with Citrus Sorbet ($10) to share among us.

The chocolate cake was totally amazing, and the blend of warm chocolate and sweet cold vanilla ice-cream was orgasmic. The apple tart was sour to the taste, and provided a nice end to the meal. Lastly, the passionfruit cocktail was as refreshing as the name suggested, and the crunchy texture of the various fruits together with the sorbet was a fantastic combination.

We adjourned to the cosier part of the restaurant with it comfy couches for drinks after our meal. The alcoholic drinks were strong enough, and they definitely did not scrimp on the alcohol as most places do. Kudos to that!

AMBIENCE / SETTING - Rustic and exquisitely set up, the ambience and setting is truly beautiful. Intimate and inviting, this place is the the perfect location for any occasion. Great decor, and comfortable seating, the restaurant's interior is inviting enough, that you'll not want to leave after entering it.

VALUE - Good value for money, with its great ambience and wonderful food.

SERVICE - The staff were attentive and professional enough. There was not enough interaction to comment further about service though.

A fabulous place, that is definitely worth a visit.
