Still GOOD aft all these years

Have been eating Lim Kee banana fritters since young, when they were at somerset (orchard) before their move to Maxwell Market (centre aisle).

Their banana fritters is the best (IMHO), as the batter is not soaking in oil, is light, thin and crispy, while the pisang raja banana is sweet, moist, and soft like pudding. YUMMMMMMY!

Other deep frieds are tapioca, cempedak, yam (I think?). i think the banana cost $1.20, cempedak cost $1, and tapioca is $0.60.

Can't go wrong with this simple yummy dessert! Best to eat it the moment you buy it, as it get abit soggy with oil after some time at room temperature.

Oh! look pass the grumpy appearance of the owner, its really hot frying fritters everyday, give him a smile and thank him for his good work.

Must Tries: banana

Yummy snack = Happy JC.

30 April 2008 : Well...the ever-ready-to-eat gang of peasants - PY, ML & JC - decided to get our favourite banana fritters as a snack.

I had the Green Bean -60 cents. It was piping hot, crispy and tasty. The best part was the green bean paste wasn't too sweet.

crispy crispy banana...

27 August 2007 : The ever-ready-to-eat work gang bought this goreng pisang for after-lunch snacks for the peasants at the sweat shop. I hurried over to try one piece.... it was very nice. The pisang raja used was huge and the batter was crispy and not at all oily.
The pisang raja was also sweet.

I hope the other peasants will bring this snack to the sweat shop again.

Must Tries: goreng pisang
