The place you MUST go for CHOCOLATE.

This place has, hands down the best hot chocolate drink I've tasted in Singapore. It is really rich but not too sweet and I just can't get enough of it. I finished one cup so fast and wished I had more. You have to try the one with the small chocolate balls in it, it literally burst in your mouth when you drink it with the hot chocolate.

I highly recommend their churros as well. The dark chocolate and milk chocolate dips are so thick and combined with the cinammon dusterd churros, it's perfection.

BUT, that's all I recommend for Max Brenner's, just the churros and the hot chocolate. I heard that the other dishes aren't that fantastic so I didn't order as the dishes are quite expensive.

Have not visited Max Brenner for a long time and decided to drop by the one at VivoCity as we were looking for some after meal desserts.

The "sit-down" format was changed to a order from the counter which suits us just fine as it was a Sunday brunch casual kind of feeling.

Food and drinks were pretty good, still pretty much what I remembered them to be.

Ordered:
1) Suckao
2) Hot Chocolate
3) Cappucino
4) Choc Cheese Brownie with Ice-Cream

It was slightly hot as the evening sun was shining in, shld be alright if its in the night.

Service staff was a little on the "blur" side, not just to our table but noticed to a few neighbouring tables as well. Would be good to note abt this and improve on.

Food was fine (we ordered Classic European Fondue & Chocolate Chunks Scone).  However, I noticed several instances where service can improve.

1.  Preparation of fondue - procedure should be to put the pink gel fuel first, light it up, then place the food items. In our case, all the food items were already placed before the staff squeezed gel fuel out.  It ended with some gel droplets on the marshmallows. The staff replaced the whole bowl.  Even after that I still saw some staff shaking the gel bottle directly above the bowls of fruits & marshmallows.

2.  There were about 8 staff but response time was slow. Fondue took about 20-25mins to arrive, then our additional order of scone took about 10mins.  Some people in the queue leave after a while because the turnover is slow.

3. Some food on queue waiting to be served were placed on the same table where leftovers and dirty plates were being placed.  There was 1 fondue set left there for almost 5mins before someone served it.

Would love to return & try the churros. Hopefully service is better.
