My impression of this restaurant was bad when I patronised them a year ago. So I decided to try them a second time, and see if there were any changes. Well….NO! This is one restaurant which has a manageress with no manners at all. Before we go into the quality of the food let me just run you through what happened….
The reason why I patronised them the second time was also because that they were offering a 1-1 deal (by citibank), so I thought why not since it is going to be on discount. And if the place has improved, I will go back regardless of any deals present. When ordering, we were asked if we were taking the citibank deal (which of course we did) and proceeded to order. Only to realise that the deal was not 1-1 main courses but it was 1 free main course per table for any main course/s ordered. Talk about a mis-leading advert….I was peeved at that point but was still willing to try their food. Food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t worth the price, I’ll talk about that more later.
When we finished, we realised there was a AMEX deal which has 15% discount for all ala carte dishes, I decided to use the AMEX instead. But I was rejected by the manageress, and was told curtly that we took the Citibank deal prior to ordering so we HAVE to pay using citibank. I questioned why is it that she can’t void the receipt and issue another one? She says the system doesn’t allow her to do it (which is rubbish but I didn’t want to make a scene). We proceeded to question her about the mis-leading advert put up, she told us that if we had any problems with the advert, to direct those queries to citibank instead. w**?!? At this point I had to shove my citibank card to her to prevent my friend from going on to a very long verbal abuse on her. While waiting for the receipt to come back, my friend was getting ready to question her about her attitude (the lack of) but she decided to go into hiding and sent one of her wait staff instead. Pfffft!
