Was there for a business dinner with guests from overseas and was embarrassed that the food wasn't enjoyable at all.
The ambience and service by the lovely waitress was great, which set a high expectation for the food. The Truffle fries fell flat compared to the truffle fries of Kith Cafe, PS.Cafe and Roadhouse.
My seafood pasta was nicely presented cooked in parchment paper, but the fish, lobster and squid didn't taste fresh at all. One guest even commented that the fish had a unpleasant smell to it. My other guest beside me had something akin to carbonara, and she said there was too much oil used, and overall it just wasn't satisfying enough for her to want to finish her meal.

We won't be back.

Michelangelo's used to have an excellent reputation, though they lost it completely. The food is truly disappointing : the calamars were chewy, the pasta was overcooked, the creme brulée tasted like pudding. The only thing which is above average is the price. We had some complains directly to the (Indian) chef who clearly illustrated the wrong attitude by totally ignoring and denieing our comments.

This was probably one of the most disappointing dinners we ever had in Singapore. What was also quite surprising is that everywhere on the menu card, the wall, the entrance, there are big signs with "no vouchers, no discounts". They are on the Survival chic program, the Amex program, etc. Though, after asking if it applies, I got the answer : "no, there is a new management and everything from the past is not valid anymore". I confirm and this is definitely valid for the quality of the food, the arrogant service and the wrong attitude of the new chef.

The location in Holland village, close to the MRT is great and also the interior of the restaurant and outside terrace is very nice. We were there on a Saturday evening and the place was very empty at 8 pm. In the past, the place was packed on a Saturday evening and even reserving a few days before was not possible anymore. Never again !
