Mini Steamboat Delight has relocated to a new address:
Gourmet Paradise Restaurant 3, Blk 480, Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, #B1-01, HDB Hub, Singapore 310480
If you ask me how I should describe my experience, I say "It's PERFECT!!!".
Previously located at Parkway Parade basement food court, the steamboat restaurant had relocated twice. Firstly, the restaurant moved to the 4th floor at Banquet Food Court, Parkway Parade. Recently, they moved to Gourmet Paradise Restaurant at HDB Hub.
Most of the time, we ordered meats, bean curd rolls, fish dumplings, fish maw, fortune fish balls, fish glue, fragrant rice (aka chicken rice) and udon. Though it may be too much for two, it was a very delicious and perfect dinner experience. We spent a total of $63.00.

With Makan Kakis: Jo, Mabel and David I rate a 2.5 for the FOOD: 1)- 1 pt for the taste Tom Yum soup (not bad,but prepare 1 Litre of water and bring it along as you will get thirsty very soon after the meal, lots of MSG). I've been supporting this steamboat stall for years and the standard are getting Worse and lots of MSG added. - 1.5 pt given for the rice. They use chicken lard to cook the rice that makes it different from others 2) 1 pt for the AMBIENCE: for the owner's effort of buying the chairs and tables (maybe it's becos of space constraint or high rental at Parkway Parade, but this place has no ambience for me to grade. Be prepared to sit side by side with the strangers (basically it's just a rectangular table with 0.5cm gaps) .AND, the utensils and bowls, ESP BOWLS and Chopsticks looks dirty!
Continue from chapter 1.... All the utensils(spoon and chopsticks) and Bowls they used are black color, therefore, you can clearly notice if it is not clean. I once found a piece of leftover dried cabbage sticking on the bowl and I went to the counter to exchange for a new one myself and after finding a few, I've finally found 1 bowl that is clean. 3) 1Pt for VALUE: 1 Pt for the variety of dishes. Wanted to rate 2 pts, but after thinking for 5 mins, I still can't find anything good to give another Pt. Their price are getting more expensive. For 4 persons, we ended up paying $110 (without much seafood except a plate of Tiger prawns *around 10 tiger prawns, not fresh and alive* and fish glue
Continue from Chapter 2: 4) 0.5 Service: For the owner's effort of hiring the staffs *a bunch of staff that should seriously be send for training* The old aunties face are stressed and they sounded impatient when I ask them to change a new bowl for me, and I pointed to her that there is a dried cabbage sticking onto the bowl. After waiting for sometime and I still didn't get my clean bowl, I ask them again and the other staff tell me to get it myself as it's not far away, and we were stunned. After showing them the sticking dried cabbage, they didn't even apologize and still, ask me to get the bowl myself. I really don't know if I would ever patronise the shop again unless they change their level of hygiene and re-train the staff.
