Mirana Cake House (OUB Centre)

The same gang who run Mirana in the basement of Chevron House, my review was pretty bad because the food was cold.

So I was surprised how delicious and hot the food here was. Ordered the Rendang Mutton with vegetables and soup ($5.50) and it was a good sized portion, easily filling for lunch. I really love Rendang anything, and this is a great example of the slow cooked wonder. The soup was average, not sure why a chunk of corn in a broth is classed as soup. Maybe their other shop can buy the same food heaters. 

Mirana cakehouse has a range of cakes n it's very affordable. Average is $1.20 per slice. They have chocolate ones as well as kaya, yam,corn...etc. Quite unique eh:)

I had the kaya cake to go. I supposed it's placed next to the corn n yam cake thus there's a strong flavour of both of them. It lacks pandan taste. However, i like the springy agar agar when it's eaten cool...yummi.

The blackforest($1.20). No frills light chocolate sponge with plump cherries and layers of b/berry cream/jam. This is actually an old sch type of blackforest. It's great for a quick fix.
