I was impressed with other outlets and thought that this would be a good chill out place for a Friday night. However, I was utterly disappointed as well as my 3 other friends and we would never visit again. Here's why

    1) There were alot of fruit flies that keep fluttering around us, the tables wasn't as clean as they should be and perhaps that's why the fruitflies [which we have to keep waving off] and a housefly

    2) We waited very long for our food but as we were a group, we chatted along the way. There were tables where people were complaining they waited more than 45 minutes and another table beside us, refused to wait anymore and insist on their main course refunded.

    3) Menu has a lot of variety but when the portions come, they were small and very tasteless. I ordered Ramen teriyaki chicken and both the spicy broth and the Teriyaki chicken tastes weird. The broth doesn't taste spicy or miso at all and the chicken was totally tasteless as if it has been frozen [not sweet] and never marinated [blend]. I believe I can cook a chicken better.

    4) They also messed up the timing of our desserts. My friends ordered their dessert together with the food and I had mine ordered after my food but mine came first and they had to wait very long for theirs to come later [even after we signaled to them to server their desserts now].

    5) The mochi is very hard, the sesame icecream is very blend [like just water in ice form] and my friend's red bean tastes like the traditional red bean, hardly any japanese style.

    6) I know the waitress and staff crew tried hard but they're simply not up the expectation. Especially when its free seating and they just stand around and didn't bother to attend to the customers who are waiting in line while other customers take up more seats than necessary. They could at least offered to ask if we can share.. weird place..

This is definitely one restaurant that is going to be out of my list. Is it so hard to have a proper japanese food in Singapore? Its the 2nd Japanese place i'm disappointed in, in 3 weeks.

I had ordered a dessert from the cashier and requested for a slight change in the dessert (the way I like it) which other outlets such as Suntec City and Marina Square had always obliged with a smile. The cashier asked his lady manager and she flatly declined my request. I asked to see the manager and she told me that other outlets may allow my request but certainly not at her outlet. I do not mind the establishment not obliging but it was her service attitude and conversation delivery that truly pissed me off. I felt like I owed her money!

Seriously, the staff there gotta change their attitude.

They just opened and they have horrible service already.

    I'm really disappointed.

I always frequent the MOF outlets at LOT 1 & Marina Square.

I thought the desserts are awesome & the service is pretty good especially the outlet @ LOT1. Thats why I even joined their member because I thought it was value for money for its cheap and good desserts and pleasant service. So I thought when I saw that amk hub opened a branch, I wanted to try it out.

However, when I got there, I asked if they were closed and they said last order was 9.15PM. It was exactly that time, and we see that 2 other tables were still deciding on their orders so we asked the kitchen crew, because the service crew are still taking orders, if we could still order as we already knew what we wanted to order. However, the staff there gave us a rude reply like "What is it you want?" & then proceed to sneer at us. They could have give us a way polite reply, like apologise that they are closed and so. We then proceeded to Coffee Bean instead. & the staff, despite being paid lower, were much courteous and friendly.

I would definitely NOT return to this outlet again.

    3. Melo Khoo I agree that the service at MOF AMK hub is not up to standard, compared to other branches.

1stly, my dessert was left out before when I visited the place when it's just opened around mid this year.
2ndly, the lady at the cashier and one of the lady server do not put on friendly smile - even when food is served. My second visit this month confirms further they don't smile and seems to have a proud attitude towards customers. (Went there again because my preschooling son likes the kids' meal presentation, though the kids size sushi & udon were not that fantastic.)
3rdly, seen the lady server telling off rudely at a customer (sitting near my table) "no outside food allowed" . The customer was eating and sharing the ordered MOF meal with her family. She has a plastic bag of bread but was told off rudely by the server twice, just because the customer took out the bread to eat. The lady server may be doing her job but in my view, she could have been more flexible in customer service when the customer is eating together with her family. The server's tone was quite pretty loud.

I won't go to MOF AMK hub again. Next to it at the open area, Kopi kaki (which serves better toast and coffee) and Dessert House (which serves better local dessert) is more value for money in food and service.

    5. Odessus I totally agree that the service standards at this particular branch is at best poor. The lady (supposedly the manager, I think) at the cashier had a mightier than thou attitude like I owed it to her to eat at this establishment. She was totally untactful in her replies to my queries.
